I still haven't seen someone do the two handed windmill dunk that Nique did all the time as nice as Nique did it. Nique is without a doubt one of the best players and scores and dunkers of all time. I do think that Josh Smith can become one of the best players of all time if he continues playing defense like he is and improves his offensive output.
He does block shots on defense...But as to offense...Josh may do something on offense, but he isn't consistantly dominant on offense and isn't one of the top scoring threats like Dominiqe was per se. On top of that he has a very mediocre shooting percentage.

It is hard to compare the dunkign styles because dominique was strictly a two legged jumper with all force and power. Josh smith is more fluid, finesse, one footed leaper. They both have a ridiculous amount of athleticism, but once Josh figures out how to continue to improve that jumper ( he has been working on it ) and masters it, along with ball handling skills he will be hard to stop. He already has defense down pat, leading the NBA with 3.2 BPG.

also as a harcore hawks fan, let me explain something to all the ppl who says all josh can do is dunk and block. plz just watch one hawks game. notice the post presence that josh brings. not many ppl try him down low anymore. they know that there chance of not getting packed is very low. besides blocking, also notice what a good rebounder and stealer is.

There have been hundreds of guys that can dunk basketballs. Dominique carried the otherwise sub-par Hawks the entire time he was in ATL, much the same way Iverson carried the Sixers. I know, I know the new kid is just getting in the league blah blah blah. The NBA that Dominique carried the Hawks in year ago was more competitive than the 2006 NBA. Somebody holla back at me when players make 3 points by getting fouled taking the ball to freaking rack like a DAMNED MAN!
