  • Nice Video Man , I absolutely love the desert but anyway I have some questions to ask you, What city are you closes to because when I go I want to be in a place with lots of saguaros (but not to much) and other types of cactuses and btw a nother question is do you see lots of scorpions and tarantulas there cause Im a biolegist and im just wondering thats what the trip is mainly about. Anyway nice videos and keep up the great work!!! - Oliver

  • one thing you don't explain is how sick you would get if you drank water out of a cactus!

  • Thanks for making this! Very informative.

  • you also need a comb for getting the cholla out

  • actually, it is illegal to destroy a saguaro, just so u know ;)

  • best damn desert you'll find

  • loved it wrote it down awesome

  • I watched this before, but this time I really watched your video. I love the desert and it was a very informative vid! I didn't know that about the barrel cactus. That's great to know.

  • @mia0899cs theirs is lots to know about the desert... its a cool place

  • heyy!!!!!!!!!!!!! is this the CAVE THINGY!?!? Its not really a cave but I call it a cave, lol. Its in my vid too, the cave on starr pass

  • dude this serioulsy is a great video, u did a very good job explaining everything! great job dude!

  • @niceguy045 thanks... its fun doing stuff like that

  • You didnt mention that the barrel catus is easier to get water out of and you can eat the center and suck the water out of it. It also always grows leaning towards the south. You should also mention that furry little animals carry fleas which can give you the plague if they get on you and bite you.

  • @elvieken look at some of my other vids.. i mention it in there.

  • I loved your video. Very intersting! WOuld be looking forward to seeing more of your posts. Take care=)

  • @atreveteaz thanks

  • @iseehaters Maybe I'll try tht soon... Would really love to go there... Have a great day!!!

  • @atreveteaz maybe I'll try that soon... Great day!

  • iseehaters,my brother and i love your vids..go on with it.joni brasil

  • @sneakycoyote thanks

  • How often do you run into scorpions out there?

  • Haha, you sir are my hero :D

People don't get how harsh and dangerous the desert is, especially if they don't live/haven't lived in here for long

And for people who say coyotes/bobcats don't attack people.... I've had coyotes stalk me for a good distance, not fun. And just *this* week we had a man attacked by a bobcat in the desert, and he had to strangle it to death. Bobcats will attack people if they're rabid or starving. Same with mountain lions

  • yup you got it... some people are just assholes.. who know nothing of the desert..

  • I will be sure to bring my walking stick :P

  • lol this looks like the land behind my back yard fence i live in sonoran desert

  • Coyotes will never attack a person, they tend to run away as soon as they notice you.

  • that is true.. but some times they will follow you at a distance as well.. been there dont that.. they are curious and are used to people at this point..

  • this vid is not real life ,,, its just to entertain you lol... i know coyotes dont attack large people.. but they will drag off a small child thats a fact... but how many kids that small are left along in the desert or some place where they can be grabed...lol lighten up people

  • coyotes will attack a small person.. its a fact.. so migets beware.

  • Why don't you have a side arm? That's the most inportant thing you need besides food and water.

  • i do... its in my pocket

  • A bob cat or a coyote isn't going to attack a human being. Where do you get your information?

  • if you startle them they will.. or are with cubs...

  • @iseehaters why it´s it call sonoran desert if it´s not in sonora? just aking thank you

  • look iseehaters, you can't drink the fluids inside the saguaro cactus, it's not pure water, the other substances inside the saguaro would make you sick and vomit, You would lose even more water than if you had just done nothing at all. You have no idea what you are talking about, I worked at the desert museum and it's your false facts that spread around and misinform people.

  • I went there last week...

Jesus christ it's hot over there!

  • its sure was

  • that green tree has tuns of wild life that lives in it

  • could you do a vid about nocturnal desert wildlife?!? That would be coool!! Thanks

  • what about that fucking fascist t-shirt?!

  • are you high?

  • Good job. Lived in Phoenix for a while, spent time in the desert most week ends. To often people dont realize how dangerous it really is. Extremely easy to get lost even when you think you know your way round. Go around that one big rock and whalla where the hell is our truck. Yeah had to help several people find their way back. 113 degrees in the shade but one of the most beautiful places on earth. I loved it and miss it a great deal. thanks Isee keep um coming,

  • OK,I just want to add some words. This vid is a really good job! Useful, practical, important information.I see you have its knowlege isn't by books but by own expirience(i got it with the stick making).Respect! And of course the quality of perfoming - nice!!!Professional.Best vid about Sonora I've ever seen.Keep towards.

  • thanks ..)

  • Very good vid !!! Thank you very much !

  • thanks

  • good vid iseehaters; we should hook up and go exploring. stay away from those cholla cacti- Im sure you agree that they are the most forsaken and evil thing in the desert.

  • you got it

  • You live in a nice place. I would like to travel in a desert. Do you have mustangs there?

  • nope

  • Subscribed! Been waiting to find a decent desert living channel!

Looking forward to viewing more later, when the week is done. :)

  • ill be back in tucson in like four weeks...

  • thanks iseehaters!

  • thank you

  • Sounds kinda like Hank Hill ^.^

  • lol

  • This looks like it was taken out by New River.

  • cat mountain tucson,, by my house.

  • The desert is a very interesting place. Thanks for the info!!

  • np....

  • I must say that was one of the best vids i have seen on here. very informative and intresting. it makes you appreciate how the early settlers and indians survived out there without mordern annenimities. Thank god for AC.

  • thanks... yes it dose..

  • i wanna smoke a blunk under taht rock.

  • lol

  • Very well made and informative. You are quite the naturalist.

  • you aint seen nothing yet...

  • very informative, wow, that looks like a very dangerous place to be lost in, thanks for the tip on the cactus, will use if need to 5 up

  • thanks

  • hehe coool

  • thanks..im sure you got desert out by you as well or somthing close to it

  • This was fantastic. I doubt that I'll ever see that in person, so I'm grateful for any opportunity to learn about it.

  • some day youll get their.

  • at first, i did not like the "watch or die" description on your bulletin, but now that i'm watching your informative video, i appreciate you making such a rash statement since the eARTh we all live on needs are care. also i didn't know a cactus could kill me, but did you know desert has only one S but stressed spelled backwards is desserts? ok, cool. don't die!

  • lol koool thanks

  • Nice video..We see a new side of you. Me...a jeep and a six pack and a cooler with some steaks. Oh, some pack rat food, we are in nature you know. *****5 Paws Up*****

  • lol thanks

  • Well, I already watched it, But i didn't want to die, so I came back and watched it again. LOL. Well, take it easy.

  • my other 200 friends didnt see it i guess lol

  • Very interesting. To be educated is not to have reached a destination--it is to travel with a different view. Great vid.

  • kool thanks

  • The desert is awesome. At night, with no moon, the stars fill the sky and you cannot see shit except for stars, and it is a little disorienting, enough to maybe make you dizzy. Also, you can see the stellar gases, the nebulae, that surround the stars. Am I right?

  • havent really looked im in side at night for one its to dark as you said with no streetlights because of the telescope so i dont even like driving at night by me their is no street light at all its dark as dark can be, and two the misqitos not a lot but enough to be a pain, but i will go out and look tonight and look up.. and tell you what i see. thats weird that i havnt done this before, but i guess im a daylight kind of person.

  • When I first saw the desert in Utah up by Dead Horse Point, I was totally blown away! Of course, I did a few hallucinogens back in the day...

  • I'm on my way over..

  • hey did you see where that guy got his arm stuck in between two rocks and that to cut his arm off with his knife

that be pretty bad to do

  • yes and hes lucky somting didnt eat him, lol

  • oh i know he was there days too

that would suck tho for some wild

thing to eat you and you can`t get away

look nice there tho it get cold at night what i hear on tv i really don`t know

    you live close to there

i like vids that this because i`ll never go there and see it thanks my friend

i`m still tryin to think of a infro thing

got ideas but how to put them on tape lol lol

one be seein you stuck on the top of those big CACTUS lol lol lol

  • i watched this earlier but was tooooooo lazy to comment on it

and i know wantin you to climb thoses big one you wasn`t going to

but still going to ask lol lol

can you climb on it for us lol lol lord i`m sure more would love that but you lol

i bet that hurt more then the jumpin one lol lol

    come on climb it lol

it`s kool to live there and to see them i`ve saw them on tv before they are tall

  • i climbed that big one about 1/4 of the way up but thats it the rest of the way is pure rock climbing, if its possiable at all. if i was to climb that it would take me all day and coming down would be even harder, if i was to do it i would have to spend the night up top and come down the next morning, but i would be in real bad shape after that lol that fucker is bigger then you think..

  • climbin that rock be fun too

i was talkin about thoses big ass CACTUS

that be what you need to climb lol lol

you wouldn`t have to worry about fallin off it tho lol lol

your butt be stuck to it lol lol

  • lol you could do it with a suit of ammor.

  • lol get on a suit on ammor and your stick and attack the big cactus

like they runnin across the border

  • Peace>

  • thanks....)

  • cool video bro-thanks..tooth

  • thanks..toofey

  • isee that was brilliant. Really enjoyed watching and you educated me on surviving in the desert. Now all I have to do is find me a desert haha. I have to admit I'd be quite scared of the dangeous wildlife. Are you ever paranoid about sound you hear while you're out there? I would be a nervous wreck lol!

  • no thats pretty much the great thing about it their is total silence except for some birds once and a while or of course a dam plan over head and yes once and a while a coyote but no their is no reason to be afraid , the only thing that can kill out out their is a mountain lion, but they are few and far between and they dont really want to bother with you unless you bother them, but carry a gun and that will put your mind at ease, but thats why i love the desert is the silence.

  • Yes I can imagine the silence is really nice. Hmmmmm but if I ever go to the desert, Im giving you a call to be my personal bodyguard and survival expert :D

  • people coming to the desert for the first time really do need some one to tell them the dos and donts, their is a lot to learn.

  • I love your voice! I just hopped into bed to listen to an iseehaters bedtime stor! Your desert rules are not much different to ours. I don't know that we have many cactus in the Aussie desert. I will have to google that now! Really intresting video! Nigh night! xo

  • lol thats funny..

  • your most interesting video yet, glad I subscribed.

  • thanks..

  • Very cool! You taught me a lot today... I should stay out of the desert :)

I'll have to check out what a packrat looks like, I think it cool they use the cactus to protect their home.

  • they are rats with long tails. they steal stuff and use it in their holes, you can tell their holes by all the weird stuff they got in and around it..

  • lol I don't know why I think that's so funny! :)

  • lol thats why they call them pakrats becaue they steal anything they find and take it to their holes, they will steal your wallet if your not looking lol

  • lol that's awesome, unless it's your wallet they steal :)

  • Nice um, rocks.

Makes note: meet cat or coyote, hit with stick. If I had REALLY thick gloves, could I hit the coyote with a cactus?

  • yes you can do that to lol

  • I reckon I'll just stick to snakes and spiders and the odd dingo or crocodile thanks - easy answer if you come across those bastards - RUN LIKE F*CK!

  • ROFL!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the tour and the tips :).

  • np thanks

  • Have you been up to Sedona? If not, try the pink jeep tour, and ask for Stella as your driver. You won't be sorry...

  • yes i was thinking of going up their,

  • Thanks for the survival guide.

Does it get cooler or cold at night or does the temperature still warm? Will there be a need to build a fire at night?

  • yes it dose get cold at night in the winter, yes you can use a fire, and it gets in the 70s in the winter and at night in the 30s some times

  • Really good video. You might have saved a life or two. I was always fascinated with how the wild horse eat the creote bushes. Those little green bushes you see all the time. The wild horses keep a full tummy.

  • isnt much out their to eat but its out their if you know where to look.

  • Wow that was really interesting and informative, thanks :)

  • this video is sooooo awesome. yt is sucking. i'm trying to make a vid response but it's not working. i'll have to upload and then send as rsponse. hmmm i hope yt fixes this prob.

  • my vid responcse are working,, hmmmm

  • not for me. i'm uploading now though.

  • lol

  • it won't upload vids as a response. i have to upload then post, which takes longer. :P

  • isee

  • thanks FireMynx! its a problem especially since we donT know it isnT going to work until you upload the whole video (as a response) and get that pesky ERROR message! it happened again to me last night and i keep thinking to email YT, but keep forgetting.

    upload problem alert

    thanks again iC-H8erz!

  • Well that was interesting!thanxs

  • thanks.

  • for me ...educating

  • thanks

  • Nice tour.

  • thanks

  • i had to cut it down a bit had lots of other shit but didnt want to bore you..

  • Sonoran as in Sonora?

  • i said sonoran the first time, secone time i said sonora lol...

  • Sonora as in Sonora Mx?

  • o yes ,,, the sonoran desert goes down in to mexico and up to utah i think as week or up their some place, but yes i guess thats where they got the name from..

  • I'm impressed with your desert survival skills. When I'm with my friends from the Pacific NW, they laugh at my preps - I told them, if they are unprepared, they'll be inconvenienced, in the desert if you are unprepared, you'll die.

  • lol you right on the money prepare or die.

  • Thx for the survival tips, mate. The water in the 1500lb cactus, what does it taste like? Have you tried it?

  • never tryed it lol.. but i have eaten cactus and it dont taste to good, lol

  • Hmmmm, maybe I should do my cactus cooking video soon :)

  • yes yes yes!!! Fried cactus needles in bechamel sauce. :)

  • I was mostly thinking of my enfamous "cactus margaritas" :)

  • Shaken not stirred?

  • lol how about some prickly pear . thats always good.

  • For sure, I accidently got my son drunk taste testing my prickly pear margarita recipe in progress! What a Mom!!!!

  • lol

  • It tastes nasty!

  • In that case i'll give it a miss and stick with Perrier. ;)

  • lol

  • You're stompin' around my world now :) Think how hearty the palo verde is to survive without water for so long, did you notice the teeny tiny leaves? Watch out for the jumpin' cactus! I love my saguaro's :) Wise to use a walkin' stick, especially right now that the rattlesnakes are coming out.

  • yes those peskie snakes.

  • Oh, man! This is GREAT! The rock looked like a regular rock until you WALKED THROUGH it!!! Gosh!!! I am missing the desert now!!! Love camping in the desert under that clear sky!!! All the stars!!! Just don't like those (Ew...) SCORPIONS!!!

    8}}

    GREAT TRAVEL VIDEO!!! 5*s!

    Lilia's Mom

    =) =)

  • Fav'd!!!

  • thanks

  • yeah the scorpions are scary even the small ones, thanks

  • Yeah... it's those tiny, little WHITE ones that are the scariest! P-O-I-S-O-N!!! =O

    Seen any gila monsters, btw?
