Jeff, I couldn't find another way to get in touch, but I just wanted to say thanks for the awesome tip of using a drill press to cut the slot in an acoustic bridge. I've been struggling to cut a neat slot for a couple of days.
Nice to see another Variax fan. Great playing. That is a beautiful piece that starts around 2:00. One of the great benefits of the guitar - can you imagine trying to do that E string bend on any of the original models?
as it reads in the description, the guitar has Variax electronics. Allowing him to create sounds that wouldn't normally be heard from a electric solid body guitar.
Great playing, great guitar building, and great job on moving the Variax electronics into the new axe. Great video. Put more up with this sort of stuff.

Unfortunately Variax is a waste of money.. I have one and the fact that no matter how you attack the string, it always sounds the same.. That feeling is killing me in a live situation.. it feels like youre playing very high quality samples trough midi like device with a slight latency!.. Especially on acoustics.. But it works in a studio...
Incredible playing! I have a pair of the Line6 Variax 705 five-string basses, but I'd love to get a Variax guitar at some point. Thanks for posting, indeed.
Jeff Miller is not only a great guitarist. But he produces some of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen. I really enjoyed this video. thanks for posting :)
