I love the ride through the Uceta yards; it's like a life-size train set. :-) I regularly take this train from West Palm Beach up to Columbia, SC. I also get a kick out of how close the houses are to the track along a strip between Winter Haven & Tampa. It's like the train runs through the backyards.
@atsf3780 Unfortunately there are no public places in Tampa to get a view of the Uceta yards. However, I got to see the yards on a return Amtrak trip from Winter Haven not too long ago while on the train.
@EdRingwald I got a Florida Norhern Branch That runs To the Progress Energy Power Plant. CSX through power with the coal trains and a couple local from Florida Northern
@EdRingwald I love train yards, something about being around these thousand pound piles of machinery is really humbling, I feel the same about school bus graveyards.
