  • It's all either Latin or Medieval German.

  • If you are looking on iTunes than the artist is the Boston symphony orchestra

  • All of Carmina Burana is in Latin. The mother of all romantic languages.

  • @darkprose Yes, latin. I singing actually

  • @darkprose it's latin, but you are supposed to be pronounced like german

  • @darkprose It is. Most of Carmina Burana is in Latin, with some parts in Middle High German.

  • @darkprose

    Latin, for sure

  • @darkprose yes is latin

  • Neither!, it is a Latin!, a language once spoken trouhg out the Roman Empire and from where the two most beatifull languages ever spoken evolved, The Spanish and the Italian languages.

  • Questo sì che è bello! Altro che quei tunz tunz parapara tunz -.-'

  • speaking from experiance, the notes that the high winds and strings are playing during the choir's long note (that is bordering on too loud in my opinion) are a real challenge to play as fast as Mr. Orff wanted them. it was fun.

  • speaking from experiance, the notes the oboes in the orchestra are playing when the chnoir is holding out the long not (to the point that you cant hardly hear the accompaniment) are REALLY hard to play that fast. but it is a fun challenge =)

  • Carl is Kredit to Team!

  • oh oh oh, totus floreoooo! der anni. xDDD

  • TEAM FORTRESS OMG

  • lol Team Fortress reference

  • The early church sound of this music works for me only in small doses and 3 or

4 pieces at a time are sufficent as tedium sets in.

  • @65attila Really? When I listen to this music, I find that the O Fortuna is the only part approaching boring because it is supersaturated in our culture. It's everywhere. But I find the rest of the work to be very charming, devilish, powerful, fun and interesting. Even touching at times. But, that's just me.

  • Who's the one fucking tenor who is flat?

  • @qwertyuiop72993 Uh, that would be Jim.

  • @darkprose he shouldnt be a tenor thats only an F

  • veni vidi vici

  • @akharnaton alle jacta est

  • glorinatum

  • Where's the version used in the Team Fortress intro?

  • have to study all the translations of carmina burana for latin exam. it's pretty hard but i enjoy the music, it's quite funny somethimes :)

  • I know this might sound odd, but the first time when I heard this song I thought it was a Buddhist chant, especially 0:1-0:10, the gong and the bells...

I guess I am not the only one who has the "weird" ear: a YouTube user tagged Perotin's "Beata Viscera" as Buddha. Amen/Amitabha. LOL

  • latin as the official languague again

  • TEAM FORTRESS!

  • @BIGBLAQFLUTE QWTF FTW.

  • @BIGBLAQFLUTE - Ahhh good memories!!!! :)

  • At 3:06 the second tenor was slightly off pitch and the 4th alto came in a fraction of a second early. How do I know? Because I'm better than all of you.

  • The text was medieval, but the music was written in the 20th century, in the thirties, I believe.
