Why did Steve Morse join Deep Purple? He should've kept going with the Dregs..

Well...you'd have to ask the man. But I suspect its because (1) Deep Purple is a rock and roll institution and how many guitarists can say "yeh, um, I was in Deep Purple"; and, (2) I imagine the paycheck is quite nice as well. :0

He says it's very relaxing to play in Deep Purple, as opposed to his solo gigs, where the audience will notice if he does a small/tiny mistake.
