@sepulturra actually it's a full fledged expansion, not a patch. ;) And yes you can still play both. It's not a menu selection but rather it installs almost as a separate game- you can either open "AOE3- the warchiefs" from your desktop or start menu or, you can just open vanilla AOE3 its like 2 distinct programs

@sepulturra yeah you can still play the original campaign, and if you do skirmishes, your european home cities will still be there. You can launch it from either exe and get the same options

(ie: launching Asian Dynasties, Warchiefs, or Original exe will have all three campaigns, all european factions, all 3 native american factions, and the three Asian factions)

I'd recommend launching it from the expansion exe because there have been tweaks with the home city shipment cards.

dont buy the soundtrack. the entire soundtrack is embeded into the game. go into the folders and copy and paste them. its pretty easy.

and for the ones like Acrosstheoceansea.mp3 go into the sound/cinematics/ and then in the folders there are music.mp3 files. listen and find the right ones that match the soundtrack.

@austing2789 post imperial age is on the setup screen but thats not how you get revolution. to get revolution you just need to get to age IV (industrial age 4) and click on town center. the revolution button will no longer be grayed out but you need 1000 of each resouce to unlock revolution. ;)

Actually the Ottomans have a 25 settler limit, later on it grows to 45 but who really needs that many settlers? it's best to stop at 25 8 for food 8 for gold and 9 for lumber

Best starter civ is French hands down. Easy to use. Ottos give the bad habit of not making villies if you play a different civ. French has a good variety of units and are pretty good.

Oh and AOE3 graphics don't suck. Tilting isn't too important in the game in the first place. Also not to mention thats not a graphics problem..................

Japan is lame and if you use them in ES patch then you really need to play a different civ and see how well you do........... Bet it's not gonna be good.
