@SCROGY A couple of years ago, two different people who I thought were reliable sources said this. They said that this is from the "Wild America" TV series directed by Marty Stouffer. He has been critisized for staging animal scenes. Actually, this looks so fake, I think it was photoshopped. Yake a good lookj at it...the background looks fake and notice the cougar cub was never shown in the same scene as the other animals. If a cougar would bite a brown bear, it would be history.

He didn't want a fight that he could possibly lose, he just wanted to find a place to get a snack and take a nap. She just wants to make sure her cub is safe. So, she attacks and he defends and leaves her and her baby alone. Makes perfect sense when you realize that animals aren't people and don't take offense at the smallest thing.
