@roninpainbringer Only the Colt and the CMC Match Grade(without pad) fit flush. Any with the pad do extend below the the end of the grip. if you go and look at the videos I did on all the mags you will get a bit more information.
@faffaflunkie The CMC Match Grade magazines I use are no compromise in my pistol. Without the base pad they sit flush, with the base pad they are easily and quickly seated. They are 100% function and have had zero problems with various loads. They are my magazine of choice for my American Classic II for EDC. The other mags I have are OK for use at the range. They give me the occasional opportunity to practice malfunction drills.
My ACT mag that came with my AC II (Metro Arms)..............works great. I went and bought two more 8 round McCormicks "Shooting Stars" mags. Love them, they work GREAT!

Skip the eight rounders in .45, at least for a gun used for defense. Why compromise a classic?
