  • In an interview, Bolton discussed his comment in the reunion book, explaining that he decided to avoid service in Vietnam because "by the time I was about to graduate in 1970, it was clear to me that opponents of the Vietnam War had made it certain we could not prevail

  • bolton = zionist warmonger

  • ok i give up...this guy lost it.he is just insane...period.that's it,this is crazy!

  • Bolton really should do something about that mustache. He always reminds me of some radical Wild West gun-toting dude.

  • yeah, speak soft and carry a big stick, check out his mustache talk with jon stewart

  • he should stick to what he knows best: how to fix elections.

  • Bolton knows his stuff. ALMOST as good as Sen Moynihan under Reagan!

  • You idiot, anyone who still believes that the battle is about Reps and Dems might as well believe in the tooth fairy. While your wasting your energy blaming the Dems, the Rockefellers, the Clintons, and the Bush family are raping you blind. But you can't see that because you, like many other Americans, can't figure where else they should focus their anger ..... and that's exactly what you're expected to think. How does it feel being used?

  • David Icke anyone?

  • No i think more like Kucinich and Ron Paul, check out Michael Hudson's website: there are 1 hour long interviews there with the only economist in this country who called things their real names as far back as 1971.

  • And I wouldn't..... How about that..!

  • I expected Bolton to say that the real problem with the UN was its lack of enforcement poweres. Instead we find out that its UN profligacy! Really Mr. Bolton? The biggest problem we have with the UN is that it spends too much? The UN regular budget in 2006 was $1.9 billion US. That's about what the New York fire department spends annually.

Bolton says the US doesn't get any say for the money it spends. Well, they get a seat on the UN Security Council. I bet Germany or Japan would love to trade

  • Bolton is pushing for a military domination of the world because he doesn't understand the limits of military power. the UN was created to advance US interests and did a phenomenal job in the past, it's just these savage herds of necons at heritage and AEA who can't grasp the concept.

  • Bolton has no real knowledge of the world outside of the US. I have seen him in interviews and he was incredibly ignorant and arrogant about the rest of the world and he basically said the US has every right to do whatever it wants in the world.

  • This man has blood on his hands. He lied to lure America into Iraq. May he rot in hell.

  • I never said I preferred spineless nonsense, I said just about anyone could do a better job at diplomacy. John Bolton is not a diplomat. Our "enemies" understand this perfectly. If you prefer that we simply kill our "enemies" and others that we don't like, then we don't need diplomats. The last time I checked, we humans have to share the planet. Either we try to get along with negotiation on all sides, or we all die.

You wanna die? Go ahead, but leave me out of it.

  • John Bolton is not a politician, unless you consider a political hack to be such an animal. He could run for office, but never win anything except school bully.

  • He does make good points, but the counterpoint is that the UN exists to ensure the civility of its members, we can't "only pay for what we want" if we are to claim that civility. I'm not against looking more closely at the percentage (after all, a lot of nations are faring better now than at the end of WWII), but we can't opt out of our share when it suits us.

  • GOD BLESS JOHN BOLTON!

  • Amen brother! As long as we got the all mighty on our side we'll prevail...Convert or burn in a lake of fire.

Do you really think God, Allah, or even Ramtha picks his or her favorites??? Just a thought.

  • Nationalism, organized religion and other tools used to control the masses are on the way out. A global equilibrium is inevitable as civilizations merge. Watch the sea change during the next few decades. Guys like this will fade away...if they don't kill us all first.

  • That last few words encompasses exactly why John Bolton is no ambassador- "We would insist that we only pay for what we want, and we get what we pay for." Whenever the Heritage Foundation starts talking about "reform", it's time to watch out.

  • Hmm if I pay for a candy bar, I damn well better get a candy bar. And if the United States funds the WFP 5 billion dollars for food, they damn well better be giving out 5 billion dollars worth of food. And currently it is ridiculous, either everyone pays a set amount like 7% or make it voluntary. We shouldn't have to hold up one corner of the U.N's table while it plays the cards.

  • I like the idea, payment assesment! Can we do that with taxes, if |I don't like what you are doing or how you are spending... I wont pay my taxes. Great idea.

  • Great ideas Ambassador John Bolton!

  • The US pays 22% of most of the UN programs.
