  • That is really good do u have to use an engine block or could u use something else

  • RIP Grant Sarver; don't get mad if he doesn't answer as he passed away in January.

  • Fantastic job guys...very well done.

I wish I had access to a workshop like that.

    Greetings from Brisbane, Australia.

    Rob.

  • could've used an air-conditioning pulley with the fan clutch so you don't have belt wobble.

  • very nice! and I just happen to have some sections of rail for hammers....

  • That is a great machine.

  • Thanks for posting videos, guys!

  • Now THAT is ingenuity! So cool - thanks for posting!

  • What? Speak up,Some dam fool is using a power hammer and someone stole all the ear defenders,so were all going deaf but still smiling face.:-)))))))))

  • I don't trust that spring system but i like the creativity and use of junk.

  • You are amazing!

  • I have seen some others on here, but your hammer is truly a HAMMER!!! That's just awesome! Much beefier than others I have seen, looks quite rugged as well, and like the hits are very solid.

    Nice job, great ingenuity!

  • New here. You guys are amazing. Yes, Rub Goldberg is alive and doing quite well in your shop! Wish I had the brains. creativity and skill to build one like it. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your next creation.

  • Very very impressive. The use of the block for both mass, work surface and mechanical power is fantastic.

I hope the aluminum piston and aluminum weld holds up to the pounding

  • Have you heard back from the guy who bought it? I wonder how it's doing.

  • excellent, you guys are geniuses, enjoyed your video very much!!!!

  • i sey Verry Nicre Job

  • tell me about the motor. DC? volts? Amps hours?

  • I really liked the clear narration along with showing the various mechanisms with their action. On of the best videos of its type I've seen to date. You have a good voice for the narration too. Nice and clear. Out of interest, what size was the Chev? 250, 292? I know what I can use mine for once it gets past it. Great video.

  • AWESOME! Anyway you guys could write up some basic plans on how you did this? The vid is great but personally, I'd rather have such things in writing. =)

  • I prefer to show "what I did". If I show "do this" I am in a position of liability for you following my instructions.

  • Will you at least show us how to set the points? :)

  • @darkcolmar If you know how to use Torrents, Search for blacksmith on a tracker. I have several old manuals and a college course book. Just keep looking. I got mine on Demonoid. They only open up for new members once a month. Good luck.

  • another good use for 3 main bearings.
