lol Even the real Japanese swordmen themself were admit that the Chinese swordmanship are too quick and too adjustable for them to fight against.

Japanses sword style focusing on slashing, counter attacking, and defending( as kanatas are mainly held by 2 hand). While chinese swordmanship mainly focus on evading stabbing or slithing, making the sword slide in to an opening ,and counter attacking.

an E for effort i'm sure you've made better vids by now. great movie you chose too one of my favs with gordon liu. For the "samuria/kitana would win or the kitana would cut that sword in half cuz it's the strongest blah blah". the kitana would break it, if the Chinese sword was rigid but Chinese straight sword is made flexible and if used correctly to deflect and parry (as in the film) not block a full on strike). In the hands of true masters in my opionion it could go either way.

The chinese guy was using the chinese stabbing sword and it would have shattered against the katana when he guarded with it, it would be a little realistic if the chinese guy used the Chinese Dao which is much broader and would really be able to stand against the katana, but still the samurai would have won because the Dao is much heavier than the katana and the chinese guy will be slowed down by the sword

hmmm, the choreography was pretty good, but very unrealistic. if you get in a fight with a samurai, and are not a ninja, then you will be dead within the next ten seconds, no exaggeration. that Chinese guy would have lost because the samurai (which is a Chinese word) Would kill him before he had his sword drawn. samurai honer? bullsh!7.

It's true it was beautyful, but it didn't respect the art of killing. They didn't exchange such hits back then, it would have ruined the blades, and a good swordsman takes care of his weapon.

It was more like a lightsaber fight.

They more dodged or connected flats of blades then the real part of the blade, which is why the training swords became very popular shortly after due to the fact that it wasn't damaged as easily
