missingno haves 4 famous forms: the first one is a type of....code....thing.... well you know it XD. the second form is skeleton sprite that had the form of a dragon, maybe the dragon sprite was a pokemon that at the end it was not used. the third is something like a cubone and mewtwo fusion, with large claws, this pokemon sprite was a beta pokemon, deleted too. the last one is a ghost.... just that.

@Vibros870 it depends - there are over 10 or 15 kinds of missingno's. Some of them do nothing, some are literally impossible to beat or catch, some crash your game making you have to reset the power. The most notable one is the one that erases your saved game making you have to start over but they don't always do this. My favorite is the 010138CD gameshark - turns off collisions. Go down cinnabar island without any starter pokemon - if you get in a battle you'll be assigned missingno.

I've heard two stories about MissingNo. One involved Kangaskhan supposing to be the evolved form of Marowak (the baby in it's pouch looks like a Cubone without a skull), but they made a last minute change and this glitch was the result.

The other is... rather strange 0.o It involves the Lavender Town theme using some sort of "tone" to hypnotize children into bringing back the old Japanese empire. I can't explain it very well, but there was a /huge/ article on it.
