The Jin in this match really isn't very good. Protip: rail with melee on Nirvana more. Carl's worthless without it and melee makes it flinch.

Not sure why people complain about that. It's super punishable, so those scrubs go down easily. It's like fighting Noels who just spam drive.

Well even if I were to use someone else besides Noel, I sometimes can not find a way to punish the attack since it comes out so fast, making it hard to punish it with a strong (since those attacks have the longest range but are also the slowest regular attacks). Also, Jin's "Icecar" does quite a bit of damage by itself.

Hrmm, Jin is highly vulnerable if the attack is blocked or wiffs though. Icecar is higher off the ground now and I get the feeling noel might be able to duck under it. For the time being, just make sure you don't block with barrier and you should be able to punish just fine.

Also, how common are these players? I've only fought one online and the move's punishableness ended the fight quickly.

IIRC the clap loop was nerfed somewhat since Nirvana runs out of energy much faster in CS (though she now recharges faster when not being used).

If you try the old school clap loop, nirvana dies after two claps, its just better to do other stuff since carl has much better normals then before. He's worse in the way that he can't hit with something random and win for no reason. But his core gameplay is much better then CT.

they're the new guard system, guard primer. certain moves break them, and are the ONLY way to break them. when they're all gone, you get guardcrushed. they also slowly regen.
