By what i know, the old man in the companions was looking for a way to cure his beast blood, i bet theres another string of quests or a place where you can just get rid of it.

You can also get this Ancient Nord Armor from ghosts of dragon cult in Forelhost, which is located south-east from Riften. I got it there, and there is also one od the dragonpriest masks and Word Wall with quite epic shout

DUDE... thats some Bad-Ass armor man :D ... but how do you get it? iv betten the whole Companions Quest-Line and all i can forge is Nordic Hero Weapons... not the armor... is there somthing im doing wrong? Like another quest i need to be doing? Get back to me when you can, Thx :D

@Nicknack645 the armor is under the daedric category

@Nicknack645 It could be that you need to level up your forging skill some more. Also, note that the armor is not in the Draugr category (where the nordic hero weapons are) when you forge it, it's actually Daedric. Hope this helps

i love the ancient nord armor i have the ability to make dragon scale and bone but i don't because i think that skill wins a battle not massive amounts of armor my companions aela wich also wear ancient nord armor and its awesome

@s0u7th13f agreed :P ancient nord armor makes you look like a badass warrior. same goes for the nord hero weapons

@s0u7th13f i have a question, i have an ancient nord armor set which deals 260 protection on the chestplate, 98 on the gauntlets and boots and 120 for the helmet!

should i make a new set of armor that AINT as powerful? PS: i got the enchantments and smithing abilities LEGIT.

@TheULTRAmatt You need to complete the companions questline before making the armor at the skyforge. I'm not sure what level you need, but I suggest just accessing the skyforge, seeing if they are available, then just leveling up until they are. As far as the sword goes, I had to get an ancient nord greatsword and some other supplies to make it in the skyforge

You know you can shortcut all of those weapons, potions, etc.... 1-9 trough favorite options...right?

@jrdrehey2 complete the main companions quests. In the last quest, you can find the helmet in the last room of the dungeon. After that, once you have a high enough smithing skill, you can forge the other pieces at the skyforge
