Does anyone know if there is a way to save out the final material node output a one big image file to be mapped onto the object? I'd like to do some texture cloning but I've got bits of images on UVs and some tiled all mixed together with masks. It seems it would be easier to do if it was one image. Help!
go to Node -> Output -> Compsite, and connect it to the final product. In the F10 (render) tab, under the big ANIM button, enable composite. Also, in the node editor makesure "Use Nodes" is enabled.
yep... i put 2 boxes on a plane, one in layer 1 and another in layer 2, and lined them up so the camera was looking at the first and the second was right behind it to the left. I selected the second layer, went to do a blur filter node (to try depth of field) and went to render it, and it worked fine. my problem is that i cant render both layers together unless i have them both selected, but then the whole scene is blurred
i have watched everyone of your tuts on several dif acounts and i think you get better and better each one i think you might need to get a great new thing blender 2.47 and update all your tutorials
Go down to the buttons window and hit F10, that will bring you to the Scenes buttons. Under the panel that says "Anim" activate the second purple button that says "Do Composite"
Not bad. Sounds a bit like what you have in Reason where you hook-up effect boxes to synths, & samplers. You were probably keeping it simple but i suspect you could have all sorts of hooked-up effects to different objects all combining as one final rendered image. Thanks for that, enjoyed it :)
Dude, i'm almost 100% sure that PINK PONIES won't be chosen as the tutorial topic.. and even if it is i'm sure you'll have the common sense to make it something else, unless of course you really want more pink pony games all over the internet..
can you make an advanced fps tutorial? please?

@cahman44 Blender friender, you don't have to type "quote" if you put the phrase in "quotes". Hope this helps, my friend of blender. HA!

kendrefor 2 years ago
In your render panel press the button "DO COMPOSITES"

This tutorial did absolutely nothing to clarify what I already read for myself in the Blender documentation.

where you see the circle and the face on that bar click on the face then you have to make a new scene and then you can work on that layer
