from Jose', the Hermeterec........The Mexican people are fabulously hard and GOOD workers. All of these stereotypes which portray them with a sombrero canted down over their eyes, asleep under a palm tree with flies buzzing around them are nothing but racist propaganda. As for the jobs they are taking away from "good, hard-working American family men", you can get the same jobs if you're willing to work bent over in a sweltering field sixteen hours a day! Any takers.....???
Its correct, these guitars are good for beginners, i think its not advisable for beginners to play guitars worth $8,000, if they improved and really fell in love with guitar playing, maybe they can buy more expensive guitars.
Wasn't this from a documentary where John Williams visits the town and factory? What I don't get is if it's good enough for Williams, why are people being so negative. They are great guitars for the beginner!
I think you were given a poor comment rating because you couldnt be bothered to read the info or the comments already written below. weird. Paracho is a town of guitar makers in mexico.
There are all types of guitars in Paracho.. cheap factory made and hand made guitars, but there's also plenty of world class guitar makers that make instruments as good as you'll find anywhere.. and at a better price. They just dont have a prestigious reputation to go with it.
You can't tell just from this one clip (from documentary 'The Guitar is their Song').. check out the trailer as well
i don`t speak very well english but that guitar make in paracho michoacan the best guitars of the world. I buy in paracho my guitar and have a beatuful sound and quality is perfect. 5000loto. sorry but by english
Do not know what it is supposed to be, but it reminds me of the Tijuana guitar factories (45 years later) we used to frequent on our way back to SC from surfing Baja in the early '60s. Most of the guitars self destructed w/in a year.
I'm sold. Can I have one?!?

@ditman333 I understand your need to differentiate between Barrios and Van Halen, but catedral does indeed translate to cathedral in English :)

It would be desirable to kiss to these people of a hands for their fine work, that they distribute the best tool on the ground - a guitar!
