@TheReviewteam5 take off the back, trace the 5 wires that run to the nes, then flip it over and take the bottom off,after that bs its just like servicing a regular NES.
@TheReviewteam5 or you could just do as i do with my 3 and give the pin connector a good scrub every couple of months with an alcohol "dampened" tooth brush.
seem to keep mine going without having to change the original pins, i just bent the head of the brush sideways so its got a long handle and a straight forward bristle.

@NecroticFleshrot Sweet! Yesturday we got ours for $30.00 also. A local shop(here in Minnesota) was closing down so we got a great deal on this combo unit during the last day of the store's business. The visual/sound quality is really nice. Great price for sure.

The only thing rare about this tv that it's out of date, and probably not worth the money this guy spent for it. But it's nicer tv than most of us probably had as a kid. lol

Yep, I love sega too. Great thing about collecting games for consoles like Dreamcast Sega CD, Master System, and Saturn is that they sold less and are less common. Making it harder to build a good collection. I like the challenge.

The 72 pin connector is the same of course. but the mount is different. Example: the Top loading NES 72 pin connector has the same pins but mounts differently than the NES-001 72 pin connector does. They are not interchangeable. The question was asked because I assume the mount for the connector is different in the TV than it is in the 001 (which are the 72 pin connectors you normally find.)

okay, that is a lot of money to charge for a 19 inch TV from the 80's. To be fair, if there are only 40-50 left in the world and the MSRP was greater than its value as a collectible, isn't this an epic fail of a collector's item? Unless you really want a piece of junk CRT TV badly enough to pay several hundred dollars for it, this isn't worth acquiring since you probably won't make any money from it in the future
I was at a garage sale the other day and they had the larger version of this for $50. Since I live with my parents for now my dad refused to let me buy it since we were going to move to Europe in a few days. To say I was ticked is an understatement.

$500 is the minimum for a mint one with 2 controls,the remote and manual.
i just lost out on a 4th sharp because it went up to $565 and the manual was chewed up by a dog, so if you have a perfect manual as i do it could even fetch a higher premium than $565!

Thats not to say they don't go over $500 in some cases. after all, auctions can be random, But I think that's steep. Not too long ago, I saw one go for $400 in pristine condition. (at corgs con)

I remember seeing one in stores around here. It sounds like the one you are describing, because the one I saw I don't remember seeing the feet. It was a store display unit.
This brings back memories. I had one of those when I was a kid. My father had bought us that instead of a standalone NES. I LOVED that thing, and would have kept it to this day if not for circumstances out of my control.
My sister stole the TV when she moved into her boyfriend's apartment. She saw no use for the NES portion of it, so she had her boyfriend gut it! Last I saw it was half a unit, and it recently died. I'm STILL pissed about that.

Yep, I love sega too. Great thing about collecting games for consoles like Dreamcast Sega CD, Master System, and Saturn is that they sold less and are less common. Making it harder to build a good collection. I like the challenge.
Same with failed consoles (from all developers) like the Virtual Boy, 3DO, CDi, ETC. But the fact is, I have Many more Nintendo games than I do most others

The 72 pin connector is the same of course. but the mount is different. Example: the Top loading NES 72 pin connector has the same pins but mounts differently than the NES-001 72 pin connector does. They are not interchangeable. The question was asked because I assume the mount for the connector is different in the TV than it is in the 001 (which are the 72 pin connectors you normally find.)

To be fair, if there are only 40-50 left in the world and the MSRP was greater than its value as a collectible, isn't this an epic fail of a collector's item? Unless you really want a piece of junk CRT TV badly enough to pay several hundred dollars for it, this isn't worth acquiring since you probably won't make any money from it in the future

$500 is the minimum for a mint one with 2 controls,the remote and manual.
i just lost out on a 4th sharp because it went up to $565 and the manual was chewed up by a dog, so if you have a perfect manual as i do it could even fetch a higher premium than $565!

Thats not to say they don't go over $500 in some cases. after all, auctions can be random, But I think that's steep. Not too long ago, I saw one go for $400 in pristine condition. (at corgs con)

As for a video. Borrow a camera for 10 minutes. Pretty much everyone has a digital camera capable of shooting video. Or have you no friends? It's no great shock I guess.

This brings back memories. I had one of those when I was a kid. My father had bought us that instead of a standalone NES. I LOVED that thing, and would have kept it to this day if not for circumstances out of my control.
My sister stole the TV when she moved into her boyfriend's apartment. She saw no use for the NES portion of it, so she had her boyfriend gut it! Last I saw it was half a unit, and it recently died. I'm STILL pissed about that.
