BTW, hands down the best video compared to all others in terms of usefulness... Just a wall to the drivetrain side, and using elbows while keeping both hands on the bar. For me, hands on the hoods have the best result.
Using your elbow for balance instead of your hand is a good tip. I find one of the hardest things is mentally getting over the fact you're inside, so you can move normally, and having your hand outstretched to something solid makes it harder.

Cool tips! One thing I might add after my 1st ride: speed is king. The faster the wheels spin, the more stable it is.
