I feel like Joey does these solos just to prove that he is an incredible bassist, without having to over-complicate a normal song. If I were this good, I would just do one massive uber-solo, slap it on the end of an album just to say I can do it, and then never mention my incredible talents again.
the first part is pure noise, the there is some music, the noise,the musica again, lack of feeling, a solo made just to show how quick you are. fortunaley guyana comes after this.
Too much technique involved and not enough feeling.This goes really smooth at some points and sounds great but otherwise it`s just a solo that goes "hey look how good i am"
This composition has a nice atmosphere, as well as being the (bass) guitar mastery. And then comes the intro to Guyana... Quoting Wayne and Garth: We're not worthy! We're not worthy!
This solo would be 10 times if it starts at 0:45 and there would be less thrill picking...
