He had been uploading films to Megaupload and got a knock on the door-In this case it was a knock on the office door and off he went.I guess they are starting to go through the membership/payment records.

He has been suspended with pay.

The entertainment industry needs to compromise with these filesharing sites. The same way radio stations pay fees to play songs, these cyber-lockers should do the same. "25%" of the Internet already knows how it works. This is technology making it possible, not malicious people. Change the system or arrest everybody and you will have even less people to buy this stuff. Every computer past a certain year has the ability to rip CDs and DVDs, go after the manufacturers, not the people who used it.

By signing ACTA, our government has only given the copyright HOLDERS the resources to take people to court over infringement, meaning unless the music pirated is owned by CBS Viacom or Disney in some way, those companies can't charge people with infringement for music downloaded through Cnet software. That said, any movies and shows produced by them, or any music that shares rights with those companies for production purposes (aka soundtracks) could still be brought to court for infringement.
