Totally agreed. Most of Bharathiraja's films are like that. It's difficult to understand. One has to major in Tamil Literature to figure it out. I remember when they interviewed Maheshwari who acted in the film revealed that Bharathiraja told her that the movie was taken to win awards and was not intended for Commercial Success. The Music in the movie is awesome! Thanks to A R Rahman.

Movie is Karuthamma. This is not one of those stupid little love stories with men and women running around trees. A bit of Bharathiraja's standard Tamil stuff like this sweet song and some other silly, stupid scenes have been thrown in to ensure commercial viability. The movie itself could shock you as hell if you are not prepared to watch such a one with unimaginably extreme, but ironically as real as day and night, crime and violence.
