Its hard to recognize its been so long. Last time I was in school in A Town was in 1979-80. I will never forget swimming at the covered bridge and partying there big time. I lived in Sandgate myself for many years. Taking the schoolbus through the Notch was always scary as hell in the winter time.
All through the '60s my family spent summers in Sandgate and we swam under the bridge at the Grange. I was last there in '73. This movie brings back so many memories! The auctions at the Grange, first rock bands to play there, kids from other states there in summer, we wouldn't see again til next summer. In the fall its the most beautiful foilage in the country. I used to climb on top of the covered bridge roof and jump into the river, crowds of us walked on 313 to the Wayside, and the Notch...
This video brings memories back to my head.. I lived in Arlington for a year, I went there as an exchange student and graduated with the senior class of 1997.. I have such fond memories of my time there and of the people I met.. thanks for the post!
