  • @j0hnnyh1 I am studying wado ryu karate, I am still a beginner only been training for 10months. 7th grade level, is that like 7th Dan ?

  • I will start my future children off in martial arts as soon as their maturity and age will allow. I hope their teacher(s) are as great as you guys! I've seen some that don't engage well with the children which isn't very proactive imo.

  • 4 or any age for that matter is a great age to start. Many people feel that it is dangerous, but if you experience it, you realize that with Martial Arts taught correctly, kids really learn how to not fight along with many other priceless life lessons.

  • oh my god it's so young 4yr old, i think it's dangerous to learn them so young...

  • @TeukTnotChou What about martial arts do you feel is dangerous at that age?

  • the problems of children aged 4-5 years who do not control their emotions when they are angry against their fellow school or in everyday life have to hit aggressively steward. For some children this age lack of reference.

Why he has the right to do this in a dojo and not elsewhere ..

This provides a mental confusion to a child of 4-5 years, that's why it's dangerous.

I am not a child psychiatrist.

You are in a better position to offer the well-being of children and to answer your question.

  • @TeukTnotChou That's where the principals come into play. Don't underestimate children, they aren't as clueless as adults like to believe! ;)

  • @TeukTnotChou asian children learn it younger than 4. Its not dangerous if their taught correct and have a great sensei.

  • Good stuff!
