Stamps really blow on home field in the playoffs. Hasn't changed much over the years. They've won something like 6 playoff home games in the last 20 years but have lost like 8 or 9 and I think 5 of those were West Finals.

One of the greatest moments of one of the greatest cinderella playoff runs in all of professional sports. Three games, and every single one of them unique and amazing... It's no wonder the entire team was just inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The CFL really needs to get off its butt and release a documentary about these guys!

@Nemoidian They could make a look back video with interviews and stuff, but the Lions made an official video called BC Lions Team of Destiny that was released to ticket holders at the home opener in 1995 (also a thrilling win vs. Baltimore). The video has very thorough highlights of all 3 games, more highlights than you could ask for. They play the J. Paul McConnell/Jim Larscheid touchdown call for the one in this video. I've watched it more times than I can count and still watch it.

I know we've won five Grey Cups, but this is the greatest minute and a half in the history of the B.C. Lions. The circumstances make it the truth - not beating Calgary in years, being double-digit underdogs, the snow, getting a berth in the Grey Cup game at home. I really love that picture of Ray Alexander doing snow angels in the turf after the game that ran in the Vancouver Sun the next day.

Vancouver can be proud of the football club. There were many lean years for the Lions during the 1970s. As the 1980s wore on, the Lions never again became the punching bag of the CFL. Every year you know they'll make good run for the cup.

The same cannot be said of the Canucks unfortunately. 40 years and counting - no cups, 2 finals as overachievers and several missed playoff years as underachievers. The 2002 playoff collapse against Detroit is typical of Canuck hockey.

@chrisuncleahmad The crowd would've been similar to the one in 1999. And if not for the Lions winning that year, the whole 90's would've been a waste for the franchise. I don't think a Grey Cup between Calgary/Baltimore would be talked about unless the game was as good as it was in 1994 or like the Edmonton/Montreal OT game in 2005. They faced each other in 1995 and how many people remember that game, other than the fact an American team won? Glad it was Calgary that lost to them and not us.

Doug Flutie was the greatest player in the CFL at the time, but Darren was one hell of a receiver. Amazing hands. The key play of course was the blocked field goal because if that's made the game is over in Calgary's favor. Great game in the snow baby!!!

Won't ever forget it.. I was ten and we were late for a family dinner and had to listen to the last 10 or so minutes on the drive there..

When the TD happened i just remember yelling and banging on the car windows, surpised my dad didn't drive off the road!!

This is when we truly got back at Flutie for bolting to the stamps!!

I've been a Stamps fan since '91 and this is easily my most painful memory. This is the first time I've seen it since '94 and it still stings. Too bad, IMO the '94 Stamps team was their best one during the '90's glory years.

That's what I love about that '01 underdog Stamps Cup so much. It was getting one back for all those years in the '90's when we should've won it but didn't.

I was 12 and I still remember every play it was the best CFL finish I ever saw. One because I thought we'd never beat Flutie in Calgary, he was awesome in this game. Two because we went on to beat Balitmore in the Grey Cup in B.C. place and kept the Cup in Canada!
