I disagree, I think. A seemingly "perfect" place such as Upper Hengsha has no place in a dark, gloomy cyberpunk game such as Deus Ex - at most only to be identified as a dystopian place that in reality is no better than hell. Even if they intended to make it a playable city hub I think it was a good idea not to do so. You are not supposed to "reach" such a beautiful world, it must remain unaccessable to serve the overall setting such a game wants to put you in.
@Lenariet Honestly, I think it would be a good contrast to the rest of the game. Think about it - china has a long history of censoring ideas it doesn't agree with and suppressing its people, but those ideas and elements it doesn't like have a tendency to pop back up; so this could easily be a hub world that seems idyllic on the surface, but underneath it's just as bad (if not worse) than lower Hengsha. It could have been interesting, to say the least.
Tai Yong Medical is definitely my favorite level in the game. I love the progression in this one. Being at the bottom and have to go at the top. The music gradually becomes more beautiful as you progress.
I spent a lot in that zone and I felt so melancholic after listening this soundtrack over and over while playing *_* I also felt sorry because I felt like the game was about to end
Took me awhile to realize that the constant high pitched whine was part of the ambience - something to make you feel how uncomfortably artificial Upper Hengsha was.
Finally found it. The whole soundtrack for this game is mindblowing, but this was the one song that just blew me away when I first heard it, mixed with the feeling of looking out on to the hengsha skyline
. Thanks for uploading, brother. I really appreciate it.
is this piece included in the official OST? it's one of my favourites, but the version of the soundtrack i have only has 12 tracks, and this isn't one of them
My favorite track of the game. Reminds me of Cairo from Invisible War.

Double post, but if you like this track check "Kate's puzzle" from Mirror's edge OST :d

Some of the tracks, and this one especially, really remind me of some ambient tracks from Mirror's edge.

This theme is really evocative, it's a shame that lasts only 1 minute and 55 seconds.
I'd love to hear some remix of this track. : Q___

@Dicoluc It was incorporated into the longer track Hengsha Daylight (Part 1) on the official release.

Ah yes, this was probably the iconic moment of Invisible War for me. The Tai Yong medical level was fantastic.

This song makes you feel like you are at the end of something. Probably because of what you find out at the end of this area

Does this remind anyone else of "Eyes wide shut"? Ties in nicely with the conspiracy theme, I guess.
