The basis for the German flag was laid in the war against the army of Napoleon. Germany was still split and moved without uniform army leadership in the war. However, the scholars of the single countries co-ordinated the armies and carried black uniforms with red and golden decorations. After the victory over France the German "Kaiserreich" was founded under the black-white-red flag. However, after the second world war the uniforms of the scholars was took as a model for the new German flag.

habe den historischen part nur eingebaut, weil einige behaupten, dass es nicht gold sondern gelb ist.... was nicht stimmt

dude your so ignorent... the TRUE colors, when the flag was brought up and formed are BLACK, RED, and GOLD. i live in America and it's RED and WHITE stripes... just because you have a different opinion on the flag's color, that dosent mean your right. it's gold not yellow... look it up...

Germany ist ein Land und Europa ein Kontinent. Ich finde die flagge ist überholt, warum nicht die alten guten flaggen reaktivieren, die erlaubt sind?
