@shikicarlo created the backing track by simply plugging all the MIDI data into Garageband using a combination of a MIDI keyboard and the pencil tool on the piano roll. Then I set up a mic (Shure PG-58, for anyone who cares, because it was the only mic I could afford), recorded vocals first (Only took me one take - I was surprised!), then several layers of Bari sax
