@prckay - the drums on this video were erased, God knows why, but this sounds so HOLLOW without them, they were what created the magic in the first place ! ! !
@prckay I would watch that. There are two reasons that I know why they haven't colorized more than the Christmas special and Lucy Goes to Scotland (and that montage)
1) The expense (although maybe it's gone down)
2) Gregg Openheimer (however it's spelled) doesn't beleive in colorizing shows that were "ment" to be seen in black and white, which is absurd as it was only in B&W due to limitations and whoever doesnt want to see it colorized doesn't have to watch it.
@LuigiDude1808 If they wanted to shoot it in color, they very well could have done it. All of the shows were filmed with 35 m.m. motion picture cameras (the very same kind used by movie studios), and color film was available for use. But on the other hand, color tv wasn't available to the public until 1954 (the first sets cost as much as a new car) which was about halfway through the run of the series. Besides, it looks better in black and white.
i was born in 1991 & i watch this & it's my favorite show & no show is better than I Love Lucy

My little sister doesn't know who Lucy is but instead said that the show reminds her of Drake and Josh from Nickelodean. Now that's just sad.

@myvibe12 I remember when they used to show it on Nick at Night.

The original version I grew up with is way better. Where are the drums? This sounds weak. And NO colorization thank you!

The Ricardos Change Apartments
Lucy Goes to the Hostpital
Job Switching
L.A. at Last
California Here We Come
and Lucy Does the Tango
LuigiDude1808 1 year ago
@LuigiDude1808 They should for at least season 1 to enable the next generation to enjoy the show
prckay 1 year ago
@prckay Well, I agree about next gen, but season 1 wasn't the best....
Besides, a variety could show that the show was funny throughout the series.
LuigiDude1808 1 year ago
@LuigiDude1808 they could benefit with colorization as in airing it back on CBS network
