I have said that several times on a number of YT vids. Also, if this is a genuine photo, why is it that no-one can provide the original NASA catalogue number?
We keep hearing that NASA released it but I can find no press release concerning this in the NASA archives.
To add to your comment, if you study it from a jpeg image you will notice that the pixels immediately surrounding the object are slightly lighter ...... a dead giveaway.
You're right, the sky is red on Mars - at daytime. At sunset however, it turns blue. If you notice the direction of the shadows you'll see that the sun would be to the right of the picture. Same direction the sky is turning blue.
@theoldbat40 Actually incorrect. Charles Shultz saw NASA had distorted colors on all pics when he caught the edge of the US flag on a Rover site image. The flag was all wrong. He corrected colors with software until flag matched known prelaunch images. This then allowed correction of all NASA Mars images. Sky became blue. All images greatly sharpened clarity. Details visible. He had an extensive site up many months. I spent months looking at clear images. Then the site no longer opened.
@dnabiologic Look at near verticle rock face a few feet to left of female. Notice dark surface shows light is nearly over head, but slightly behind her. There is very slight horizontal shadow edging anywhere. Also. Look 8 to 10 ft in front of her. See head & shoulders of looks like a more muscular male leaning against a verticle facing of rock. She is gesturing towards the male. Color corrected pics are much sharper & vegitation becomes visable including trees & patches of ground moss.

This photo pisses me off the most. This right here is a priceless find in nasa's history and of all mankind. That is a statue point blank. You know when they came upon this they all nutted over it and popped bottles once they got up close. The rocks in this area all hold a relative range of colors that resemble each other - and the likelyhood of a single rock having completely different colors beyond any rock to be found within miles is extremely unlikely.
Perhaps it is indeed something beyond part of this land alone. The idea of a martian would be a incredible, so many people "want" to choose that as their answer. I say there is many possibilities, but it's certainly an anomaly right now!!! ;-)

Its not scorching on Mars, with such a minute atomosphere, it has much less greenhouse effect than on earth. During the summer at the equator, you would be lucky if it got above 70 degrees F. At night it quickly plunges below -100 F. During the winter temps go below -160F. Your blood boiling inside your body due to the low atmospheric pressure, gasping for air thats not there, and your body tissues freezing in seconds. Not a place for a woman outside of a pressurised suit. Probably just a rock.

It is colder because the intensity of the light falls off at the rate of the inverse of the square of the distance from the sun. It also has no atmosphere to retain any temperature. It does not generate heat internally either. It is a known fact that Mars is colder than Earth.
