I am Italian and a Global I teacher. I make sure to stress to my students that while Europe was living in the squalor of the Dark Ages the Chinese were exploring the world. And had it not been for the Chinese the Europeans would probably have taken a much longer time to move out of the Dark Ages.

I am a Chinese descent from Malaysia. According to my clan's genealogy record (族譜Zhu pu), my ancestor worked as a sailor in Zheng He's fleets during Ming Dynasty who later settled at Malacca & became a trader.

I think the West is too self-absorbed about themselves, undermined others & hardly know that China was once the richest and powerful country on earth during Ming dynasty which owned 31% of the world's GDP (doubled of USA's GDP now). China will return to the glorious age of our ancestors.

@eclipsedoctober YEAH! That's what I always say. I'm of Filipino descent but I have ancestors from the Fujian province. China has, is, and always will be the greatest Empire in the world. The Qing Dynasty and Communism was a small anomaly in their history. They're reclaiming their place as a Superpower in the world.

I have always had a peace loving personality no matter how bad people treated me. I can agree with one thing though...violence has been rampant through Africa but those are political issues and they are certainly not in our genes.
