  • wow!! I'm amazed to say the least!. I'm so proud of you, learning something that's new and seeing how we speak. Although, you have very good prouncing on the words.

Good Job!! all the way from Pinon,AZ

  • Very good. Keep learning. Its good to see others out side the tribe interested in our culture:)

  • You speak awesome Navajo but you speak it with a Japanese accent lol! But it's cool! I'm amazed to see other people learning this language because it is very difficult. :D

  • hahaha wow your'e doing so good! kudos!!

  • Good try! Hahaaa. I'm scared of your eyes. Guess I have to say at least your trying! Hahaaa. At least you didn't say "ya-ta-hey!"

  • Man... you know more Navajo than I do!

  • Im impressed.. Im married to a Latino and he is also learning Dine Bizaad himself by conversating with myself and my elders..Good Job!

  • wow... ur really good... haha you could totally come to the reservation and become a teacher..

you probably know a lot than most... jus sayin

  • One of the hardest languages to learn on the planet--you move your tongue one centimeter and it goes from one word to another. glad he's making a serious study of the language.

  • Wonderful job!! Keep up the good work. I'm proud of how you responded to the racist guy. I wouldn't have been so nice hehe. He is probably Turkish (why they *wannabe* Native Americans, I'll never know, cuz they aren't and never will be) and confuses Eurasians with our peoples here. I'm mixed blood...proud...still Native. We should all learn our first languages. Dineh people, you are beautiful!!!!!

  • Wow your really good in speaking Navajo.

  • Pretty freakin' awesome............I really impressed, learning Native American languages is extremely difficult! I have many Navajo friends who would be impressed! Happy learning! :)

  • Wow, your Navajo sounds good! Keep it up man!

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!

  • er, QUIT

  • shaweet!!!... keep it up because you're doing an awesome job. I seriously applaud you!!!

  • Got here from the 1491s facebook page. Keep up the good work! It's amazing that you've learned so much (and probably much more since) without formal lessons! :D

  • lol! nizhoni! Frybread power lol!

  • nice so when are u going to come down to the navajo nation and show us what u got lol but way to go

  • ;o woah

  • nizhoni go dine bizaad sisnsa. keep up the good work.

  • Awesome

  • You always do such a good job at all these languages, Laoshu505000. I had a fluent, full-blood Navajo apprentice (I'm an electrician) on a recent job. His wife is full-blood Cheyenne and he says that her elders speak Cheyenne as their normal everyday language. Navajo is indeed a very difficult language, both grammatically and phonetically. Keep it up!

  • Yall are entitled to have racial discussion on this video, and I'm not saying I'm color blind, but SERIOUSLY? My first thought while watching this had nothing to do with that it was mostly HOLY HELL HE SPEAKS NAVAJO THATS IMPRESSIVE AS HELL I WANT TO DO THAT

  • Hey im Navajo!! Yaa'teeh shi ei Leeann Yinishye, Toodineeshzee (Kayenta, AZ) ei dee naasha. Naakila shi naahai. Indiana ei kwe'eigi naashnish. Shi kone' nursing yidahoolah. Nizhoonigo Dine bizaad yalti'i shi kis!

  • I'm amazed that you learned that with Your friend Sarah! Keep up the good work!

And what is your Facebook page?

I'd like to add you :)

  • @Valari4daluvofmusic You can find me if you search ''Moses Monweal McCormick''

  • why to go my brother! don't let anyone discourage you!

  • shzini (:

  • I'm happy to see that people are finding our beautiful language interesting enough to learn!! Who cares what race you are! Just wish our children and younger adults would learn the language, embrace it and teach the next generation.

  • i guess his motive for learning languages is to increase the possibility to bang eurasian girls.

  • @myrddinistheshit Haha. Not when I'm married with children. Try again sir lolol

  • @laoshu505000 just a guess, here another one: to escape your race, you are driven by escapism of learning languages in order to enjoy the illusion breaking with your biology for the time you learn.

  • @myrddinistheshit Another good try. That's far from the reason I choose to study languages.

  • @laoshu505000 i give up, for some reason you might not be the self hating nigger i am .

  • @myrddinistheshit Wow, dick in the punchbowl.

  • @myrddinistheshit about as stupid a thing as i've read.

@laoshe505000Good work on your Navajo, keep it up!

  • @myrddinistheshit : is there some reason why you want to hate on this guy for being able to study, learn, and speak a Native language? I think it's pretty cool that a non-native can commit himself to the study and be able to speak a Native language. There are Natives out there who don't even try to learn their language, for whatever reason. This is good motivation.

  • @myrddinistheshit You sounds seem kind of douchey. You should keep your racial comments to yourself.

  • @futbol503 it is not racial, it is an open secret which women on earth are worth beeing hunted.

  • Auf dieses Video antworten... it would be racist if i said sth. about the size of your head, projection of your nose , the structure of your forehead and stuff like this, but guess what? i do not do stuff like this.

  • @myrddinistheshit No, making the assumption that there is some ulterior motive for learning a language that can be encapsulated in some kind of self-hatred based upon his being black (of all things!) is childish, racist, and stupid. Grow the hell up.

  • @futbol503 i am just teasing you, i am black myself, you know about the sumerian language?

  • LeVar Burton? LOL funny shit man, you bring back the memories of when I was in 3rd grade on the rez and watching Reading Rainbow during library time.

  • have you considered learning other native american languages? it would be cool to hear you speak Anishinaabemowin, which is what my ancestors spoke. its pronunciations are really easy. just a suggestion though. i never heard navajo before but it sounds cool too, keep it up! :)

  • @drfeltgood69nm I just dropped a few tears due to this comment you left here. Why are you treating me like this man :(

  • @drfeltgood69nm ...your a FOOL keep your idiotic comments to yourself. Your the DUMB fucken Ape Bitch!

  • @Shawnmariee I don't think you should respond to him in that way. It doesn't make things better.

  • Amazing! I commend you on this video. Sure, there may be a lot more things to improve on but it is still amazing in that you actually were thinking as you were speaking & that makes it commendable. Keep up the great work & it is nice to know someone in Columbus, Ohio knows & speaks our Diné language. That is what will help to keep our language alive. Give my regards & thanks to Stacey, In PA, too. Whenever in Ohio or Pennsylvania, I will have to make it a point to seek you both. 8-)

  • @TheJWUtoob I've never heard of that one before. Thanks for telling me about it.

  • I can sing Navajo peyote songs. People say I got a good voice. Im not even Navajo either Umo'n Ho'n here! Thats cool your learning a native language. Nobody can take away what you learn.

I live in LA & want to visit the rez soon. I have relatives to meet...people who look like me (I was adopted into an anglo family).

AGAIN, congrats!!! And great work!! Your video is inspiring.- Leland

  • I have been married to my Navajo wife for 18 yrs and still haven't learned to speak fluent Navajo. But I can't even speak my tribal language either

  • Pretty good. One thing you have to remember is that double vowels make a today different sound. It's not said longer like Japanese. Good job nizhóní. :)

  • Thats nice! :) keep it up!

    Nizhoni...

  • Just recently, the Navajo Language Renaissance partnered with Rosetta Stone to make a Language Learning program. My husband is Dine and I want our children to speak Dine Bizaad. Check out Rosetta Stone- they have it at Salina Bookshelf, and all the proceeds go to the Navajo Language Renaissance project.

  • @tedrafm Yes, Salina bookshelf has a lot of good resources for learning Navajo.

  • you speak it quite well. (^ ^) cheers!

  • Awesome :D i'm glad to see that you are learning Navajo. (you weren't reading that off a paper were you? haha jk) NIZHONEE'!!! I can read and understand Navajo, but i have trouble speaking, so i have got to say... YOU ARE THE BEST NON-NAVAJO THAT I KNOW THAT CAN SPEAK NAVAJO :P and with almost perfect pronunciation. If you want i can help you. i would also like your help as well :D I'm also interested in learning multiple languages. Working on Portuguese, Spanish, and Japanese right now :)

  • ha ha ha ha!! :-) i really enjoyed this! nizhóníyee'. :-) a few of your tenses are a bit off, but overall, it sounds fantastic! good going! if you need any help - find me. :-)

  • You also write the Dine language well. Are you using a textbook to write or online? I would love to learn how to write my own language. Keep it up and keep in touch. I would love to see you progress some more. You are soooo cute, lol, speaking Dine. With a smile and all, lol. Just cute...():

  • LAOSHU505000, that is awesome that you are learning the Dine language!! You are doing well, the way you say the words is right on the button. I say that because it is a hard language to learn because of the tongue twisting words. "Ya go antii do nizhonigo dine bizhaad bee yanlti do leel" (Keep working hard at it and you will be speaking the Dine language pretty well) My Dine writing is not good but I hope you can read that. lol. I am Dine from Crownpoint, New Mexico living in Albuquerque.

  • @JJSparkles1 Ahéehee’ sik’is.

  • Hey have you thought about learning the Nahuatl languages since were on the subject of American Indian languages?

  • @laoshu505000 No problem, best of luck with Navajo :)

  • wow i know 10 words........

  • Hey I just barely found you here on Youtube, and have been checking out most of your videos. Wow, I am really impressed how you are constantly setting out new goals of learning new languages. Loved this video the most...have to say I am very partial to the Navajo language, being Navajo myself! Keep up the hard work!

  • dam you speak more words than i know haha .....have you been to the rez you good you just gotta seee how the elders speak.....thats good tho..

  • @kmatchers Ahéhee' shik'is. Haadi nighan k'ad?

  • thats cool......but pronunciations a little off.

  • @AUSHREY Thanks for the feedback.

  • @laoshu505000 lol all you need to learn now is how to butcher a sheep.

  • @AUSHREY lololol I'm good at butcherin stuff

  • omg!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is amazing!!!!!!!!!! wow! i gotta show this to some people. so awesome...well mister, gotta check out Radmilla Cody's music/you tube videos...maybe sing? it be awesome!...wow! i am amazed!!!!! seriously! i understood wat u said...wow!

  • @navajodorkboythef Ahéhee' sik'is. Diné Bizaad shil nantla' ndi aldó' shil nizhóní lá. Haadi nighan sikís

  • Do you speak Cherokee? If not I can teach you if you want. Thanks.

  • @Chezrocksall I won't be starting on another Native American language for a while. Navajo is really a difficult language and I want to get to at least an upper-intermediate- Advanced level before I start on another one. Thanks for the offer though.

  • pretty good from just textbook. but you definely need conversational Dine bizaad.

  • @reject2332 Thanks for the feedback friend.

  • I think I understood half of what you said... Wonder if my fluent Navajo speaking grandparents could make up of all you were saying...try and search "little Navajo speaking Navajo" on YouTube

  • @nativerica Thanks, I'll be sure to check that out

  • Hey Moses, nice to see you speaking Navajo. I cannot speak it myself, hahaha. ANyways I sent you a very very important message in which I need you to read. Thanks again.

  • I think it's sad we couldn't do that FLR clan due to the time difference; I'd love to be speaking Navajo like that by now, and so would Volte, I'm sure. Let me know if ever you plan something similar at hours that Europeans can make.

  • @Sprachprofi Yea, it would've been great to have you studying with us. I'm sorry about the inconvenience.

  • Do Cherokee, and if possible OJibwe and Dakota.

  • @BitchinnShoes07 Most definitely. I'll probably spend a little more time on Navajo and Tlingit before I tackle those; Native American languages aren't a walk in the park- especially considering the lack of resources out there for them.

  • @laoshu505000 Oh don't remind me of that. I get pissed off at the past because my white mom never informed me of my heritage so I had to learn it late from my grandparents, and also recently I've been learning about whats been going on with native cultures in the past and Ive been steamed up about that but I'm over it now.

  • @BitchinnShoes07 Wait, you speak Navajo?

  • @laoshu505000 No, or in Cherokee, tla. I am White, Cherokee, Iroquois, and Mahican. My friend who is Mandan says thats a juxtaposed mix. What do you think?

  • @BitchinnShoes07 That's interesting. That tla reminds me a little of the Zulu Cha which has the same meaning.

  • @laoshu505000 I think we're all related. The Cherokee word for water, ama is almost the same as the Japanese word for rain, ame.

  • @BitchinnShoes07 Google "zompist chance resemblances".

  • @nactan ....ok.

  • @BitchinnShoes07 urls aren't allowed. did you see it?

  • @BitchinnShoes07 That's more coincidence and a false friend.

    But sure nice intentions

  • I miss your frequent uploading of videos!

  • @BrokenClocks08 It's been hard these days because I've been extremely busy.

  • 對我來講這門語言聽起來很想稀薄來語!!!!! 哈哈

  • @loki2504 lol 哥们儿。。真逗你啊

  • I'd wager to say the look on your face when speaking a new language is the same as when you're getting laid :)

  • @hurrrrrrrrrrr It's funny because it's the same feeling to me when learning languages- maybe even better feeling lol

  • I like the excitement on your face when you speak a language. You make me want to make a video of me speaking a language.

  • @wordzworth5th lets do it bro

  • wow this is amazing!! it's amazing to see how much you've learned from the few resources you've got for this language!! keep it up bro!!

  • @AysarAburrub Thanks for the comment man.

  • where did you learn Navajo btw? I'm from the Philippines and I'm interested in this language.

  • @july071992 I've been learning independanlty. I have a resource video for the resources I've been using that I can send you if you want.

  • Comment removed

  • @laoshu505000

    Is navajo coming easy?

  • @Protossu It's definitely not easy...The whole learning process is fun though.

  • yey! NAVAJO! Can you try quechua?

  • @july071992 That would be interesting to try

  • Wow - it's a real trip to hear Navajo. Nice!

  • I don't speak Navajo but this is my first time hearing a non-Navajo speaker speak Navajo. Very cool Laoshu!

  • @jtmar Do you have any Navajo friends?

  • @laoshu505000 I did but I don't have much contact with them anymore. One of my friend's grandmother only spoke Navajo and it was nice to hear her speak it.

  • Awesome. I've never actually heard this language before and it sounds really interesting. I know my college did offer this language but they got rid of it unfortunately.

  • @KokoKolla Which college are you refering to?

  • @laoshu505000 Salt Lake Community College.

  • @KokoKolla I see. You should've joined the course =^_^=

  • How did you accomplish those difficult sounds ('s and 't) Don't know what to call them

  • @MrFremdsprache It took some time and I'm still trying to get fully used to it. Navajo is a tough language to learn. This is like a whole new ball game in terms of difficulty.

  • COOL: next you have to make a video where you're speaking in Nahuatl.

  • @alkantre That is a capital idea, my friend. Go on Moses.

  • @alkantre Because of what you sent me, I've developed an interest for that language as well. Thanks for the books.

Terima Kasih atas membeli saya buku yang mengenjar bahasa Nahuatl! Barangkali, akan habis waktu untuk lajar bahasa itu juga. Thanks man.
