  • a little sped up, but still great!

  • One of the best covers if not the best of Time, there's a Pulse side of this one and the lick you do at 0.58 it's just awesome. Awesome work!

  • Great solo !!! Please look at mine :)

  • Can I borrow your talent sometime?

  • GREAT SOUND!!

  • Doesn't matter if it is not note for note. The feel is there. Well done.

  • you've got the "post pink floyd live gilmour" sound nailed

  • Man, this is awesome!, all your video's btw :-)

I noticed you're using the POD X3 Live on different video's.

I'm thinking of buying or the POD, or the Boss gt-10, advice?

  • @GuitarTosh007 I can't say that i'm familiar with the Boss GT-10. For recording and practicing though the POD gets the job done. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong.

  • Of all the stuff here on youtube, your stuff is definitely some of the very best and closest to the real deal. Even your 'guesses' sound organic and like possible

    Gilmour variations. A+

  • hey man can you tell me from where i can get that backtrack?

  • nice cover of live version, it's DSoT tour version, right? :) great job!

  • Very good! But the backtrack is very loud :)

  • this solo is missing delay, but otherwise really nice :D

  • THIS IS DAMMED GOOD

  • I hate fenders, but still good show :p

  • bien pero no enseñas como se toca osea las pisadas

  • Gilmour would be proud if he saw this.

  • Well done buddy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • Nice version Buddy

  • Sounds pretty damn pure to me! You bring it to a new level you talented munipulator of steel. Thanks again! Keep it coming.

  • Even if I don't like a lot the pulse version of this solo, u paly it wery good!

    Great job man!

  • reincarnation of gilmour

  • hey man , your solos are awesome. you are the best in pink floyd solos. maybe you can try some zeppelin or purple solos.

  • wow, great sound, awesome job, thanks. I enjoy watching this video

  • ExcellentTone!

    5/5

    check out my cover

  • Great job sounds just like dave. Can you tell me what kind of Muff you are using?

  • It's the Green Russian by Sovtek.

  • Wow, this is fantastic! Keep it that way :)

  • Excellent. Great playing and tone.

  • Great! Just Great!

  • I've got a question regarding your Strat - is this the same one you used in your On the Turning Away/Sorrow covers, with a different neck? Or are they two different guitars? Awesome playing by the way, I love your videos man.

  • Same Strat, different neck. I'm in a phase right now where I'm trying to find a neck that suits a little better.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Not bad!!! rly not bad :O

  • Your very talented. How long have you been playing for? (5 stars by the way.)

  • Thanks Hogweed,

Bought the guitar that you see in the video brand new in April 1995. Been playing ever since then. :)

  • very good work!!

  • Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • do you ever take your tube drive knob on the butler very high? seems like anything above 4 becomes too much.

  • I usually keep it right in the middle or less. You could try a 12au7 tube in it for a little less gain.

  • Really nice sound. Great subtle use of the trem bar with that circular style you have. Excellent playing :)

  • great, sounds so easy!

  • ~Excellent work...you've got your own unique style...very fluid...~~

  • \m/

  • excellent!

  • Sounds great man!

  • Hey is that an LSR roller nut? I might get one. Also how do you like that Tube Driver, I want one, but I'm afraid it's a one trick pony and I am worried to commit and spend the cash.

  • Yep, thats the LSR nut. I love the Tube Driver. It's a good warm distorion unit with a good eq section. One trick pony? Maybe, but I use it for everything and couldn't be happier.

  • Cool, does the LSR nut affect your tone at all? Also, I like the sound of that Tube Driver, I also like Eric Johnson's tone, he uses one too. Can it acheive an Eric Johnson type tone?

  • I know alot of people aren't fans of the LSR nut. For me, the benefits far outweigh the negatives. Besides, it really only affects the open strings anyway.

Can't say i've tried obtaining a tone similar to EJ, I'm assuming it can be done. AFAIK he's using modern Tube Drivers like the rest of us. Although, For a guy like that it's only a small part of his sound. I

'm sure it can be done.

  • Cool. Well I don't really use the tremelo that much, so I think locking tuners are abetter investment for me if I want better tuning stability. As for the TD, it's only for his leads. He also using a dyna comp pedal and a Deluxe Memory Man along with a tape echo and rack delay for his clean sounds, and he uses a silicon fuzz (Fulltone 70) for his dirty rythym. Along with a wah, you can achieve a very similar tone to his by mixing and matching those pedals-very close to Gilmours pedal board too.

  • It's kind of a bonus, I can get the 2 of the best strat tones out there.

  • FLAWLESS

  • ~Awesome work my friend...what effects are you using...??~~

  • BK Tube Driver, Big Muff, Fulltone Dejavibe and delay.

  • Forgot to say thanks!

  • ~O.K. sorry I see you list that info already...thanks...great playing too...~~

  • Very good!

  • grat job and you nailed the tone

  • OK forget Floyd...I want to see you in concert!! Great playing dude.. Keep them coming as you can see we love it.........

  • Another great solo bro! keep doing more!

  • dude... beautiful job. if anyone has anything bad to say about this, they dont know what the hell they are talking about...
