I don't understand the problem here. I'm Canadian and I've actually set my game via tweaks to work like this and it works fine. You should never play a game for it's graphics. The censored weapons however, I can see people getting pissed over.

and then it checks where you live and you receive the censored version to download

@TechXMarine It actually doesn't, if your credit card is accepted and you change location to US or UK (using their store) it will download the full version. Either that or use an online site to get the proper release, don't settle for this. Fortunately for me, I managed to get money back before release on the local version and the overseas one was only a few dollare extra.

This is just stupid i pre orded the game and i got the early demo, and i find that it is cencored. go to your left 4 dead 2 folder, change the steamappid to 510, then go to the gameinfo.txt and change the line steamapid to 510 and save, there youll have gore :)

FYI people, us Aussies importing from America won't work. American and Canadian games are NTSC coded, Australia is PAL. (at least for XB360)

For the Aussies, there are only 2 countries which we can get a compatible version: England and New Zealand.

You may be confused. Censoring gore from a video game is not oppressing your right to free speech or anyuthing else they got rid of gore + body piles so that 15, 16, 17 year olds can play it.
