This is pretty ridiculous. Even more ridiculous considering the fact that i'm thinking about doing the same thing (although with 3 movements) and am hoping that Mrs. Kurdi won't compare me to you haha. Brilliantly written, but i do have a question. why didn't you do anything concerning the first part of the book?
@Joontae96 Can't believe I'm just now seeing this. ..I need to re-record this. Hope your version went well for you. I didn't do anything with the first part of the book because I didn't find it as musical. I also thought of that part of the book as more of a prologue to the guts of the 'real' story.
Hey I've read the book too. It is one of my favorites. I like your movement, "The Island". I could tell that part of it was supposed to be the night parts with all those lemur things or whatever they were. The parts where Richard Parker isn't so scary and goes away. At least, that is what I got out of your song.
hey man...you...you sounded AWESOME! I LOVED RICHARD PARKER's theme and the Landfall! Did you know that they're gonna make a movie about this incredible book? If they're in troubles woth the soundtrack I think they should absolutely choose yours! Well done :) I also made my own tune about it: athough it's lightyears behind yours I'd really like you to listen to it and tell me what you think! Thanks a lot. Keep it up!!!
Man I have to say from one acoustic guitarist to another, you give me a deep desire to keep going with music. People like you inspire me to keep going, as hard work reaps such beautiful talent. I'm getting there. Keep it up.
I don't mind the extra depth. It gives me a lot more volume, and it puts my hand in a good place over the strings for picking/strumming. A thinner guitar would have me craning my arm back to match the same position.
hey, i just tried that guitar at my music store but not the SCELH, i tried the D10-SCE..I don't know why but it was quite bad!The fretboard lost it's natural dark colour, it became light brown more white. The bending was bad too, the strings were scratching on the frets making a bad noise, and the tuner is quite difficult to work. On the other hand the sound was nice, and the body comfortable.
Haha, well the LH is for Left-handed... so I would hope yours wasn't left-handed.
But that's interesting what you said about the fretboard. Obviously any guitar that doesn't have a finish on the fretboard (most rosewood fretboards) is going to rub and create friction like that, but it shouldn't be scratching the frets or making any kind of noise.
Wow, This is very Inspirational, Im actually working on a project for the Life of Pi for my English class this year, and this gave me many ideas for my project =) although it is apainting and I dont think it will be as nearly as amazing as this! Thank you so much for posting this!
Wonderful.

Do you recoment me that guitaR??Are dreadnoughts with cutaways comforable??
k0staZ 2 years ago
it's a very nice guitar. I've never had any kind of issues with comfort. And I definitely recommend a cutaway. Why not?
GlassTuxedo 2 years ago
i mean dreadnought's are a bit bigger than semi jumbos like CPX from Yamaha..That's why i ask if they are comfortable and btw i want a cataway :)

hahaha, left-handed, pwnd!
Well, the scratching noise was coming from the steel small things that seperate the frets(i don't know how they are being called)
