That rat was perfect size take it from me I have 35 ball pythons of my own and they all eat rats he will love you for that size any size smaller or larger he'd hate you.

i have a mini python baby i just bought it today in Indonesia I'm in Indonesia because of summer vacation and my python is way smaller than that it eats small gecko i named him Chill .

ermm i think u should make it a bit smaller or if u want it to grow bigger faster then keep with that 1 if u want it to like grow slow i prefer go smaller

that was a bit to big. try getting smaller frozen rats. thats what i use for mine.

It depends on how big it is and how often you feed it. My teacher owns two and feeds them both one medium rat a month. If u feed him/her everyday you could choose to feed him/her small rats. If you feed it weekly you could do small and medium. And monthly you could feed him/her a medium one. Hope this help. =)

from what i have been told the width of the food should be about the size of the with of the biggest part of the snake. I have a royal python and I stick to that and it seems to work just fine.

they can eat stuff the size of the thickest part of their bady or twice the size of their head. any bigger or smaller (like this) could be really dangerous to the snake.

they say to give them rat as big as the biggest part of their body, i feel you should feed them a rat about the width of their head to help them eat it.

it depends on the owner, he last ate 4 months ago and he just started eating again and now he only likes live, if it means keeping him alive ill do anything to do it, whether its frozen or live some only prefer frozen or live so yeah

no they eat every week to two weeks every day would cost me a fortune and it would make him grow way to fast and, it would take really long to digest that many mice or rats its considered animal abuse

For a ball python, eating a racoon would be impossible. A bird, maybe. But only if it was small enough. The chances are low though because they are not naturally attracted to prey as such

ur ball python should be fine umm try giving him mabye fresh killed or frozen u can try and feed him live if you want my ball python hasnt eaten fresh killed live or frozen and its been 9 weeks... =/ but hes doing fine but is ur ball python shedding? but he should be fine man dont worry some snakes have been heard to live over a year and not eat but just keep trying u should be okay
