I've never heard that tense before; I think it's "dinged". English word formation can be such a pain sometimes!!!

The last time I checked "dang" is a synonym for "darn" and nothing more, but who knows...you may wind up in the dictionary someday for creating a new past tense form!!!

BTW: Are Westinghouse dinnerbells dependent on floor? There's one near me that sounds broken on 1 and 2 but not 3.

@StargellFan8 the one here its hall lantern, so its different on every floor. I know exactly what one you are talking about, and I think it may have used a different bell for down than it does for up, they have fixed it though.

dieselducy how come all the elevators at barnes hospital are labeled like 15 N and 46 S like the one in the video and it irritates me when the bell wont ring even though it did some on this elevator

the N is the old jewish hospital i believe and the S is the actual barnes hospital..

I think this elevator was made during the Westinghouse to Schindler transition.

if it was the only thing that would make me think that is because of the floor changer indicator its similar to some of the older schindlers
