  • Yes! I delt with this myself .I have two Ibanez'es one with the edge pro bridge, the other with a Floyed Rose.I got a thick book with one of mine that illustrates how to set up a floating bridge. So yes you want to find a thin metal plate or hard plastic cover with cloth then procede to slide under back of bridge. Make sure you use the right gage strings.and only use the fine tuning after you have your strings set close to tuning .I didn't have to ajust my neck on mine,no frett bus on mine .

  • Then make shure that the fine tuning is not ajusted down to far on your floating bridge .sometimes you may have to ajust your springs to get the right a mount of tention on your bridge but ajust very slowly only after you put the strings on this is done.keep in mind that when doing this it lowers the bridge inback. when tuning each string start with first and second get tuning close as possiable to your perfered pitch lock down nut and procede to third&forth string same process all the way up.

  • quick question. im planning to change out my pickups to dimarzio's. do you know if the sa-2 is a standard pickup or an f-spaced pickup. thanks!

  • @silvermullet I'm confident that these are standard.

  • Would you recommend the guitar or not?

  • @killerpfurtz Well, if you're ready for the challenge of a Floyd Rose, then by all means, yes. I still have this guitar here and I plan on taking out the old pick ups again for EMGs. But I do plan to conquer this beast.

  • @claimless

Is the floyd rose really so bad? What means conquer this beast? :D

  • @killerpfurtz Depends on how bad you want to make it. I didn't realize how much maintenance it would be, but I plan on learning how to do everything with this guitar. Eventually, I'll be happy with it.

  • @claimless

Oh okay. I plan to buy this guitar for my 2nd e-guitar.. but ya from a Les Paul to a Sambora with floyd.. I don't know..:/

  • I NEED TO BUY ONE OF THOSE... IF YOU HAVE A ESP LTD SA-2 Richie Sambora FOR SALE OR NOW SOMEBODY WHO WANTS TO SELL IT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I PAY CASH!

  • @ claimless Do you have on the body of your guitar the Chris hofschneider brand..??

  • @h0891 Yes sir, it does.

  • Hey I'm thinking about getting one, should I?

  • @djgossen1 Depends on what you really want. It was a great guitar when I first had it and I played the hell out of it. If it's set up right and has the right set of pick-ups, it sounds badass and plays good too. But it just can not beat my Les Paul on feel.

  • I brought mine to guitar center to get the pickups changed to DiMarzio PAFs. when i picked it up, they told me they adjusted the neck, tremolo and action. Ever since then I've been in love with it!

  • what pickups are in that guitar? are they an esp ltd brand or sig pickups

  • @keithgatti Whatever it came with out of the factory.

  • so basically its your fault? if you left it like it was when you purchased it or got a professional to set it up for you it would work fine.

  • @munkley123 I did leave it how it was when I purchased it. I didn't realize Floyds needed more "special attention." I'm used to a stopback tailpiece.

  • If you would be experiencing feedback on the pickups, that's because the LH-100 pickups on the SA-2 are "slightly" microphonic. Check waxer dot nl to solve the issue. with wax-potting the pickups

  • I put at a tremel-no in my sa2... you can lock the floyd, set it for dive down or leave it floating... Helps getting that bridge set in the right position. Never had an issue with hum pickups.

  • @Scrappalino I definitely thought about getting one of those. And I might still do it.

  • I'm wanting to buy this guitar but now you said about the pickups giving bad feedback im not sure, is it worth it?

  • @FenderStratocaster06 Some are like that. It depends on your taste AND whether or not you want to deal with a Floyd Rose. Most people that own one usually either block theirs or sell the guitar entirely. Others will take time and patience to learn how to set them up right, etc etc etc. Personally, I probably wouldn't buy another guitar with a Floyd unless I had a guitar tech or something.

  • Wow. I learned a lot just watching this. Nice vid!. I like the cup in your shelf. :)

  • u have a short in your guitar.

  • dave mustain junior

  • It is worth buying this guitar?, Tablets that comes with factory are good or need to change, I love this guitar, Greetings

  • hi i have this guitar and i was wondering if you got the EMGs installed yet. if so where did you put the battery pack. cheers

  • @andypandy427 I haven't gotten them yet, but I think I will install it into the casing in the front somewhere. As to where exactly. I don't know.

  • I have that guitar too.

The string action was pretty high on mine, so i adjusted it under tutelage from a local luthier. As for my guitar, i'm using .009-.042's ATM, and i'm thinking of adjusting it to .011-.048's and tune it a half step down. i've done it on my tele and it works great!

BTW, good luck with your guitar and your playing.. ;)

  • any one know why is called an SA2 when theres not a SA1

  • @CMSpida 2 pickups, maybe? That's how they distinguish between the M-I and the M-II.

  • I have this same guitar and I love it. The problem is sometimes you just get a shitty guitar. When you buy online you don't get a chance to take it for a test ride before you buy it, every guitar is different. Second when you buy a guitar in this price range it will not be perfect it’s not a custom shop special, it’s a production model. I recommend having it set up by your local shop because they will look at everything you mentioned and then some. It’s worth the cash you’ll spend.

  • @bonjovifan570 Well, I actually bought this at a local shop. Not online. I assume it was bought online, but not checked very well. But I'm getting EMG 81 & 85's for this guitar. Silver-plated. (:

  • @claimless That's cool it's seems to be the only complaint people have is the pick ups.

  • PART 3. Its really easy to fix, its not a huge problem. If you know how to use a soldering iron, it is literally a one hour operation. The other piece of advice I would give, is to buy a set of Paul Reed Smith HFS and Vintage Bass pickups. That will set you back around $200USD. Put those into this guitar, and you wont look back. Hope this helps!

  • @ziggyrockdude Thanks man. I'll give it a shot.

  • PART 2To fix a radiophonic pickup: Basically what you do is remove the pickup from the guitar. buy a good quality candle (beeswax or similar. Place candle in a small fry pan that you can throw away. Slowly melt the candle in the pan. Once wax has melted, simply place the ENTIRE pickup in the melted wax, then remove an allow it to dry. After it dries, simply pick off any excess wax on pickup (leave the coil area alone, leave wax on it.) Re-insert pickup, problem solved. Part 3 coming up in a sec!

  • The pickups are radiophonic, its not the end of the world. Its very common with cheaper end pickups. The coil on the pickup isnt separated from the magnet, it can be remedied if you have the desire to do it, or you can pay a tech to do it for you, may set you back $50 if you know someone. I'll explain how to fix a radiophonic pickup in he next message..

  • have they discontinued this guitar coz i went to buy one and it said this model has been discontinued

  • they fuckin suck

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH LINE6'S

  • lol i thought you did. I getting one of these bad boys as a earlier birthday gift so im pretty excited. Its just gonna be a 100 watt vypyr though but im so anxious..... I've been watching people open up there damn boxes. Sad right lol

  • @Mufewsa Lol It's whatever. Mine was a floor model. And they took it off just for me and I rocked that place down and played a couple others. but yeah. This amp is just amazing. I really think the Tube is the way to go. But that's just me.

  • ummm.. I don't know if this is just me but did you say pantera 2 footswitch? lol

  • @Mufewsa Indeed I did. This amp is perfect with it. Yes, it's a lot of buttons, but it's really nice. Plus you get a looper. I've never had one of those. :P

  • I prefer line 6, and the feed back may be coming more from your amp because that doesnt happen to me.

  • @REAPER3295 Mehh. Line 6 has never sparked anything. It has to be something the guitar. Because I know for a fact that it's not the Amp. I play that amp every day with a Les Paul, and there are no problems.

  • @claimless Well i dont know what to tell you because that guitar doesnt give me any problems like that infact none.

  • hello, this guitar worth? I'm just between a fender stratocaster classic 50 and this guitar. a greeting.

  • @alpilon23 Well I bought this guitar at $400. MSRP is I think somewhere in the $600-$700, but I'm not for sure. When I first got this guitar, it was perfect. It's worth it once you have it set up right.

  • Your Moms going to kick your ass if you dont turn that damn thing down!!! LOL

  • @kmitchem4 It wasn't even that loud. :P
