Throughout the gig I was keeping track of the setlist on my mobile. I have 23 songs down. I was so mezmerised during the encore that I forgot to make a not of the last 2 songs. Does anybody remember the penulimate and final songs of the set? IndieRockerHippy thanks once again for the uploads and posts.
i know!!!! i missed them when they played national stadium last time they came over, ive never regretted something so much in my life!! couldnt believe the ambassador gig, blew my mind!!
It was my first time seeing them live! They were definitely one of the best gigs i've ever been to. Such amazing musicians and Ryan's voice is just perfect live. The sound quality was brilliant too.
Plus they play such long shows.
Ryan seemed to be in one of his shy, quiet moods but it didn't bother me! He said thanks a lot and introduced the band and talked near the end. And he was smirking and grinning a lot near the end!
my first time too!!!! i totally agree wit ya on everything his voice is just pitch perfect so amazing! couldnt believe i was standing in front of them live....i thought it was so brill the way he didnt hog the limelight at all!! Aw i could talk about it all day!!!
Yeah he was really sinking into the background! Like when he wasn't singing he'd move back from the mic straight away. And Neal was right out front. Being off drugs and drink has really quietened Ryan down. He's amazing on guitar as is Neal.
national stadium was better. he talked alot and didnt have a setlist, he seemed like he was in a bad mood for this, not taking anything from this one, he played alot of better songs at this though
Incredible. What an amazing gig. So professional, everything from the stage show to the new arrangements. IndieRockerHippy, please upload everything you've got! They have re-arranged a lot of the songs for live effect, coincidentally my favourites of the night were all from Easy Tiger. Everybody Knows, Goodnight Rose, Off Broadway and Sun Also Sets were mindblowing. The arrangements were unrecogniseable to start with, pure beauty. What were the 2 songs Neal took lead vocals on?
After a quick search on the net, the second of Neal's 2 songs was "Freeway To The Canyon" from a solo album of his. Having exhausted the Ryan Adams back catalogue, I must explore Neal's solo work. His 1st song mentioned something about a 'Grey Diamond'.
Everyting i have is now up. I got nothing from Easy Tiger or Cardinology! I only realised when i got home. Ah well....
I agree with you PainfulRealisation- All the songs from Easy Tiger were amazin. Especially Goodnight Rose(That instumental bit they did was class!) and Off Broadway. I love the way they rocked up Crossed Out Name and Natural Ghost as well. It was brilliant!
And Cobwebs sounds ten times better live! It's an awesome song.
Haven't got Suicide Handbook. I was in NYC in January and found it in a little record store on Bleeker Street, but they were asking crazy money for it. I know I could download it etc, but I'm a collector and want to own it. I will get it someday, and I know it will blow my mind.

Must've been "Grand Island", they've been playing that tune on this tour.

Your welcome! I have another of Come Pick Me Up that i'm gonna upload now. The lighting is pretty bad in the videos but it's the music that counts!
And i agree it's one of my favourite Ryan songs and sounds so good live. Especially the guitar.
