haven't played this yet, but i play ace combat alot and love it. much more realistic (despite the fact u can carry 80 missiles on one plane). in this game, those maneuvers where the plane flips around instantly and shoots out that missile heading at air force 1 is such BS! the plane would rip apart no plane would survive that much stress on its frame without being ripped to shreds

@yaseen157 in the game they can. In real life... NO. Aircraft requre air flowing over the wing to fly. by drifting as seen in this game, the aircraft would lose the air flowing over the wing and would fall out of the sky. Besides the pilot would not be able to handle the G forces. The F22 already pushes what is possible but no other plane comes close.

You know... I've played this game and I can say that even though I love it, it has some serious flaws... Combat system is a little clunky as it takes 2-3 missiles to take down a plane, the dialogue is absolutely terrible, and the missions are repetitive (shoot this, defend this, blah blah this)... But somehow, through all this, ITS STILL FUN!! :D

Here's my reasoning. A missle can travel the speed of sound. Even if it was not armed with explosives it would still pack tons of force. Say it was a light missle and weights 50lb. 50lb traveling speed of sound (1125ft per sec) is equal to about 56,000 ft-lb of force just from the impact of an empty missle. Unless the government is holding out on us, there is no material that strong, and light enough to make the whole plane out of. Yes, I'm a mechanical engineer :)

@rcbif101 90% of AF1's design is unknown to the public, I don't even believe that a missile 'can' lock on to that plane, it's a flying bunker, the high command of the US armed forces in times where the US is under attack (9/11 for example, when Bush was evacuated into AF1 and it had fighter jet escort, wich was the first time ever) That's just a plane that no one can take down..
