  • Cereal Crimes / This Program was made Possible (HD)

  • What upsets me the most is that the government is bedding down with these companies and allowing them to put toxins in our foods. It has to stop. Other countries have forced food companies to label their GMO foods, yet in the US food companies don't have to label these harmful foods. This is an outrage. Great video.

  • The sad thing is with so many of these companies like Kashi and Amy's are are starting to cut back on their Organic products, it kind of makes me wonder, are the products that they do make that do say ORGANIC actually organic? What is the point for Amy's to make say 10 boxes of cereal and only have 2 of them be organic?

What is natural? According to the dictionary, the noun definition of natural means - an idiot., if you do not believe me, go look it up.

  • I'm citing this video as a source of information on my big school project. But if anybody can clear this up for me, what was the kind of pesticide the woman said they were using?

  • It doesn't matter if it says USDA Oganic...it's all bullshit! There is no organic anything anymore! USDA backs Monsanto!

  • yah, kashi $old out forever ago (yrs?) , never the same since. So sad. We LOVE EnviroKids - yum. always hard ta keep up doh. BigBig "THANKs" for providing this info.

    ~Peace~

  • outstanding video! it is obvious that gmo is being re-branded as natural. none of the workers at wholefoods know which is gmo or not. i caught wholefoods selling gmo corn as ORGANIC will post a vid reply. they forgot to break off the baby mutants that grew on the side of each ear!!! normally onle one ear of corn grows per leaf on the stalk,

  • I just read about non gmo VS organic...non gmo food still can have other unnatural modifications....corporations trying to fool the public once again?

Thank you Cornucopia Institute for putting out this important info. GO ORGANIC!!!

  • I emailed Kashi about it, they responded that some uncontrolled farming and transportation practices may have contamined Kashi's products with GMO's. They said they are partnering with the Non-gmo project to verify their ingredients.

  • General Mills cereal made the cut. Good, I used to work there, it's a very good company.

  • @ronheri I'm not sure how you gathered that GM made the cut. Cascadian Farms cereals and granola are certified organic. The parent company General Mills, and I quote from the score card "corporate owner is one of nation’s largest agribusinesses involved in GMO/ chemical agriculture".

  • Thanks for the info.

  • : )

  • Hi. Because of your findings, I took back to Whole Foods & Trader Joe's ALL Barbara's cereal & Arrowhead Mills (although Organic, AM did not score that well on the scorecard).

These companies insulted us who desire to eat certified Organic & maintain our healthfulness. When I noticed Barbara's replaced molasses with sugar in their animal crackers, it alerted me to future changes. STINKY company! I will stick to Nature's Path, & others on the 5 & 4 scorecard. YOU saved lives. THANK YOU CI. :)

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH 4 THIS INFORMATION!THE THRUTH!!!!I tought it was something in there.....THANK's a LOT!(ps.it's REALLY A CRIME!AUFOOL!!!):(NO BODY IS REALLY CONSIDERING A HUMAN BEING!it's all just about MONEY!...

  • Thank you for this !!

  • Thanks for the video. I sure will not be purchasing Kashi or Anne's anymore. I honestly believed when they say all natural and made without any chemicals, etc... they actually meant it and it was not a lie... now I know it is.

In the end it would probably be cheaper if all companies made all organic products, they just choose not to.

  • Thank you!

  • My point to Google & YouTube on displaying video-source-information clearly is that Google expends a lot of engineering energy to save users' time in Search & elsewhere. So why should YouTube users have to open each tiled video to see where it comes from? Page-changes take time, so unnecessary page-changes are a negative. And the USA is only ~ 29th in the world for connectivity speed.

  • Big buissness sucks! Money really is the root of all evil. Thank you so much for this priceless information!

  • Thanks for this info amazing how much we paid for all this crapy food .

  • tHANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION.

  • Interesting!! Very good video!

  • Tx for the vid. Too bad that even the term "organic" means less than it used to before the USDA co-opted the term not so many years ago.

  • Thanks for all the interesting comments and the kind words. They really do mean a lot to us!

  • To YouTube - please note that the way you currently display more video options tiled on the screen as a selected video finishes is OBJECTIONABLE and should be ceased. The first impression a viewer gets is that these tiled videos are from the same YouTube Channel as the selected video - not so - many of them would not have been endorsed as true content by, say, the Cornucopia Institute. This tiling video display could be misleading for the unwary or uninformed. YouTube should use clear methods.

  • @EdithWiethorn ...It says the name of the User right under the video image. Stop being so anal.

  • @ziloe Correction - in the small tililng view, only part of the name of the video is visible.

  • @EdithWiethorn

Do you need a whole bloody name, for you to realize it's not the same person? C'mon!

  • This clarification from the Cornucopia Institute is really helpful right now - because there are a lot of genuine, local suppliers in the locavore food movement who don't apply for USDA organic certification, either because the process is cumbersome for small producers, or they believe their methods are "better than" the organic label requires. It is important that genuine locavore suppliers refine their language to avoid descriptions that have been co-opted to disguise unwanted ingredients.

  • The same 'natural' claims occur with pet foods. Don't be fooled.

  • i thank you so much for your videos. PLEASE post more videos, please.

if you want me to donate please let me know.

our family thanks you for your hard work!

  • This was SO helpful to those of us who are constantly trying to navigate through all of the "all-natural" claims out there these days. Thank you!

  • Thank you. The term of 'natural' is so abused. But did you know that even the term 'organic' is legally ab-usable by pet food manufacturers and retailers? As long as a pet food isn't marketed as *certified* organic or 'USDA (certified) organic', all is well, except for the truth, your pocket pet, real organic pet food manufacturers, and of course your pet's health.
