@TheElduende24 thats where your wrong. the bad is not damaged by water. its the LEATHER PIPING leather REAL LEATHER will get water spots, sometimes they'll fade sometimes not. go find a 100% real leather couch and pour water on it and see what happens

@AnmolDaBadshah see they SHOULD know off the top of your head but I bet they'll have to find one like it in the store and do a comparison. make sure they look at stiching, what thread is used, buttons etc. all the tiny details that aren't supposed to be easily copied

@notetoselfimissyouxx the only thing i could tell you is don't use it alot lol and don't get the handles wet, that helps too. also make sure you haven't just put any lotion on or anything. the oils help to brown it

My Louis Vuitton had everything you're telling.. the 5 stitches, on one side of my bag the lv's are upsidedown, the little bag on the inside looks exactly the same, I have the serial number and there is the model number of the purse (30) at the same place where yours is. There is only one difference.. That little leather thing where the keyring is attached to, has a different shape in my lv. Mine is longer.. Do you think my LV is fake?

I didn't read all the responses but a vintage french company louis vuitton speedy is made from two pieces of canvas therefor the Lv are upright on both sides. These were made for about 10 years under special license in the united states. I have sold several on my website where I sell authentic LV. So just letting you know the LV are not always upside down on one side.

@iilovelucyy i've been caught in the rain a few times and i don't really notice water damage from the rain because i've never been caught in heavy rain and i always grab a towel and wipe it off. also, my leather handles have darkened alot more. I think if it gets wet on the handles you'll be fine. my problem was that it got wet inside the bag and i couldnt blot the water it just had to sit in it till it dried...so sad :-(

well its all one material unless you count the sides where its attached. the only threading that visible is from the handles. its brown thread on the inside and yellow on the outside

This is the best vid for fake LV speedys on Utube. I have a genuine speedy, and u have noted checkpoints that I wasn't aware of. You have been an education, LV should be paying you lol.
I do think this video is helpful but to save everyone the trouble, if you want a LV bag I suggest everyone going to the LV store, Saks, or Bloomy's and getting one. That way you know that yours is legit and to hell with what everyone else thinks. I know mine is real and thats all that matter :p

I recently went and purchased a Damier Ebene Speedy 30 and mine says Made in the USA, I asked the SA and she said that the handles are made in France but the bag is assembled here in the states. I had a Damier Ebene Speedy 25 for 3 yrs and that one was made in France. The ones that say Made in France are hard to find and usually sell out fast so you are lucky if you get one.
I have a fake 30 and it has exactly the markings you described the real one as having.....the handles have even darkened! LOL.....oh dear....great video!

Your bag is the monogram canvas, so the only parts that are leather are the handles, zipper pull, and trim. The rest is canvas. Just FYI. :)

@katiemarierobbins i wasn't trying to brag about where i live. because I said i lived "near" that area (an hour away i mention). My actual point was that most people won't have a louis vuitton store near them if they don't live near an affluent area. Your not guna find louis vuitton in roswell, new mexico will you? AND i put a disclaimer at the beginning letting everyone know that I am not an expert and these are just a FEW things i've learned.

the bag is NOT LEATHER. It is canvas. If it was leather it would be $2000 instead of $800. The straps are leather. Get your facts straight. Otherwise very informative video. Also Speedys are now made in the USA and Spain as well as France.

I do think this video is helpful but to save everyone the trouble, if you want a LV bag I suggest everyone going to the LV store, Saks, or Bloomy's and getting one. That way you know that yours is legit and to hell with what everyone else thinks. I know mine is real and thats all that matter :p

i have the monogram speedy 30, love the bag but it's the cloth material. i"ve had it for about 3 yrs and i have only used it like 4x cuz i already see like 3 small snags on the material :-(

@ggracesophiaa actually most louis vuittons have louis vuitton buttons. lv buttons are usually on a fake. i bought mine at the louis vuitton store so i'm positive

How old is yours? I'm getting the exact same one August 9th, but when I went to the LV store, the speedy said 'made in u.s.a.' :/ are they like NOT making them in France anymore?? D:

@FriskyDelight i honestly have no idea about that. i've never seen one made in the usa but its not impossible. one of my guy friends has an lv wallet and his was made in spain. idk about them bein made in the US

@fashiongrl2010 Yes Louis' do say they are Made in the USA. I recently went and purchased a Damier Ebene Speedy 30 and mine says Made in the USA, I asked the SA and she said that the handles are made in France but the bag is assembled here in the states. I had a Damier Ebene Speedy 25 for 3 yrs and that one was made in France. The ones that say Made in France are hard to find and usually sell out fast so you are lucky if you get one.

I have a fake 30 and it has exactly the markings you described the real one as having.....the handles have even darkened! LOL.....oh dear....great video!

@screaminlisa I should have also mentioned that if the LV is in a crease or stiched across its fake. If the stitches are crooked fake. and the date codes must match the place where it claims to be made.

@fashiongrl2010 Okay, I went back and grabbed my bag and there are no LV's in a crease and the code matches...made in france.....this is very strange. Someone gave me this as a gift. I wonder if I should take it to store to check it out? Or will I get in trouble? LOL

@screaminlisa you wont get in trouble. wen sum1 gave it to you was the leather almost white? if not then they could've gotten it at a consignment store. I once volunteered at a thrift store and they had one for $50 that was real (but was granny style). take it into louis. maybe this whole time you had a real one and never knew lol!

@fashiongrl2010 some models do stitch across the LV. When the canvas is cut, they just don't cut through the LV, but they can even be hidden under the stitching or the leather. Check some models on the website or even in the store, like the keepall or the artsy...
