  • this guy had it comin

  • @realdineable You really have nothing better to do than sit at home trolling on vids you have no real opinion on at all. Do you own a phone book? A large phone book, like you really thick!

Now get the book and hold it in your best hand (left/right handed). Straighten your arm and turn the book so the spine is facing your face. Now hit yourself as hard as you can in the face.

Now say 'I must not Troll and hate' - repeat both actions until you learn to stop trolling.

    Peace

  • He was the greatest.Period.The greatest. Now we have a horrible announcer one not so decent announcer and one who is just worthless.

  • "Its outta here"

  • There was only one Harry the K. The greatest broadcaster of them all. A beautiful voice and a beautiful man. Thank God he got to see two championship Philly teams, amid the many ups and downs that we had over his years in the booth.

  • What a sad day it was when Harry died. Nobody can ever fill his shoes, but I know Harry is watching his beloved Phils from Heaven. God Bless you Harry, we loved you.

  • I remeber when Harry died....and i'm still sad about it ;(

  • 2 Years Ago Today There Never Be Another Harry Kalas

I pray his soul may rest in peace

  • this is so good voices... it is so sad!!!

  • My dad was good friends with harry. My dad worked in the radio booth with harry and was behind him during the world series call. He even has it on video, i should dig that up and post it. Never forget that day. We miss you harry.

  • really? wow. have fun with the 2009 World Series trophy. hope you like the feeling of being a champion while you laugh at dead people. Harry the K hd more class, dignity, and importance in his pinky toe than you have in your whole body.

  • @guineapigmadness ---you are a fucking waste of life...seriously- what do you do? did you graduate college? even if...you're still probably a bottom feeder...take shots at philly all you want- its the easy thing to do...but not on this man...im sure im right though- guessing you're an NYC white trash LOSER.....

  • @usulkane wait, me? I love the phillies? I think you have the wrong guy...

  • Goodbye Harry. You changed baseball forever. A home game in Philly never sounds "complete" without you. I personally know him too. My next door neighbor was also one of the last fans to see him... ever.

RIP Harry the Kal. We will never forget you.

  • We had off school that monday... I got outta bed turned on CSN (like i always do) like 1pm ish.

i looked i thought it said Harry kalas passes out in broadcast booth. im like Soo hes tired. it made no sence to me. then i get ceral. i came back and i looked again i put my cereal away and went back to bed to think of all the memories he gave us.....

  • i wish i was older. i was only 13. now im 14. i figre id here ALOT more if i were 17 or 18 or 19. my goal is to become a profressional baseball and/or announcer and i always wanted to do 1 with HK 1 day for the phillies and that isnt gonna happen now :( but i will still chase my dream and hope to have as big of an impact on the games as harry did. I love the games. and i always will.... R.I.P. Harry We love u.

(I also have a dream of an Eagles game with Merrill Reese)

  • im only 13 and ive been watching phillies games ever since i was at least 2 or 3 i grew up listening to harry announce for us and i still hear him every time a homerun is called =[

  • mee too little dude mee too little dude

  • oh Harry u r missed. I'm not sure he's the greatest sports anouncer per say, I'm actually partial toward zumoff, and I think whitey maybe was a better baseball announcer, but nobody could match his passion. through all the crappy years the phillies had Harry stuck with them.

  • R.I.P Harry Kalas we will always miss you =(

  • Greatest sports announcer ever. He is greatly missed

  • Harry Kalas is the only sports figure in Philadelphia history who we won't boo. Us Philly fans are dicks.

  • Harry Will never be forgotten.U made great calls and u are a champion we will all miss you and we all love you :(

  • doesnt matter how many times u see or hear him it still brings a tear 2 ur eye

  • Love you Harry and the World Series Call! I grew up with you and will never forget you!

  • RIP

  • he sawthe championship. now, he won the championship in Heaven.

  • :( I MISS YOU

  • RIP

  • my name is Gergő Kalas....:D who was this man?

  • Greatest Announcer Ever

  • R.I.P we all love you

  • harry! miss you buddy!

  • that sucks that he died he would have liked 2 c 5 phils going to the all star game and ryan howard going 2 the home run derby hopefully they pull off another championship this year he will like that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Harry would have been thrilled to see five Phillies going to the All Star Game. I still find it difficult to listen to a game on radio knowing I'll never hear that voice call a game again.

  • Will NEVER forget you Harry! I still miss you and Whitey...watch over us!

  • classy man

  • I'm 14 and the only voice I've ever known for the Phillies has been Kalas'. RIP Harry, I'll miss your voice and personality that you brought to baseball...

  • i grew up hearing him very sad

  • everybody remebers his voice and always will.

  • R.I.P. Harry the K. it will never b the same without u!

  • hey for the assholes tht are arguing, can u shut the hell up and show some respect, this is about the death of one of the greatest announcers/man of all time. we dont need to be telling people to suck dicks or tht the phillies suck, this was a tribute to a great man, who will be missed badly by me and many others. phillies games just wont be the same w/out such a calm and soothing voice

  • exactly

  • All of you are just mad that the Philles have amazing and graceful fans like us, so shut your mouths and know it wasn't luck, it was fate and we so deserved to win, you little repulsive fuckers!

  • yeah it takes luck to win 11 out of 14 postseason games after winning like 10 straight to take first place in the NL East. don't be jealous that whatever team you support can't win the world series. Harry Kalas R.I.P.

  • how dummmb are you

  • luck? i think you mean by being the better team

  • i was being sarcastic lol

  • yep, we suck alright, we won the world series, what did your team do

  • lose :D go phils

  • HK....Simply the Best! Summer nights will never be the same.

  • yeah i agree

  • So true...I remember hearing Harry's voice on summer nights when my dad sat out on the porch smoking his pipe and listening to the Phillies. Great memories!

  • R.I.P =(

  • R.I.P :-(

  • yet another kid wanting attention with a disrespectful post. ppl like this on youtube are like fucking maggots; makes me sick.

  • YOUR TEAM SUCKS!

  • JOE BUCK is National broadcaster you turd...Kalas was our HOMETOWN broadcaster...you WANT him to root...you NEED him to root it adds emotion to the game and to the broadcast...which is why HE is a hall of famer and you're just some Bagger at the grocery store.

  • Everyone making negative comments on Harry Kalas is truly a piece of shit. Who can say anything mean about this beloved man? Everyone in Philadelphia loved him. All the low lives who need to say cruel, harsh things about him can seriously kick rocks. By the way, Joe Buck does root you dumb asshole I agree with everyone, whenever the Phillies playoff games were on, Joe was always rooting against them. Champions 08! EAT THAT JOE BUCK! YOU SUCK!!

Rest in Peace the voice of Philadelphia

    Harry <3

  • jack buck never rooted like homer harry

i pay for the mlb package i dont need to hear

this guy rooting like crazy for the phillies

you dont root as a announcer

  • what the fuck are you talking about? Harry lived and breathed Philadelphia. He could root for the phillies because he was the voice of the phillies. A big FUCK YOU to you sir.

  • joe buck is a homo. He never roots? Maybe you didn't watch any of the Phillies playoffs or even any Philly game he does. When someone on a Philly team makes a great play he always makes excuses on how the other team must have done something wrong. Or if he doesn't do that he downplays how great of a play it was. I'd say out of every one compliment he gives us (if you can call it that) there are 9 most comments downplaying us. Get a life dude. Go hang yourself.

  • too true. A perfect example is when the Phillies are an out away from beating the dodgers and going to the world series, all he can bring himself to talk about is what a great series manny ramirez had. Fuck you joe buck, fuck the dodgers too. Go phils World FUCKING CHAMPIONS.

    RIP Harry the K

  • Then watch another broadcast

  • listen itzahazylife you white shit cut ass on me And i would snip your balls off nigger you suck ass wipe

  • listen to yourself..you're a scumbag man

  • your mom sucks scumbag bitch

  • lol, you're not really 23 are u?

  • stupid y the fuck would i put a fake age

  • WE LOVE YOU HARRY I met him 3 times in person before so i feel so blesed to have met him in rl. i love you harry rip

  • LMFAOOOO old fuck

  • a real good man, that never hurt a fly, recently died...what makes u say shit like that?..attention?..dad beat u when u were young?..what?

  • listen itzahazylife you white shit cut ass on me And i would snip your balls off nigger you suck ass wipe

  • the voice is gone, but the echo will ring forever. Rest In Peace Harry The K, it's outta here

  • R.I.P Harry Kalas i will never forget you

  • you know one of my favortie harry kalas moments was when he had his name called harry harry harry harry that was cool as hell and so was harry cool as hell the coolest philly broadcaster ever

  • Comment removed

  • Simply The Best no one better then Harry and Whitey I would of love to see Richie Asburn play

  • We miss you Harry!

    Back with Whitey!

  • Sports broadcasting will never EVER be the same without the amazing man that was Harry Kalas. He was a part of Philly since the 1960's and he always will be as long as the world exists. God bless him.

  • bmatt, your a real asshole!!!!!!!!! you should just go fucking kill yourself for that comment you dick!!!

  • he was the best announcer in the mlb and the best their ever will be end of story

  • I'll remember Kalas more for being as the voice of NFL Films (after the passing of the great John Facenda, who, like Kalas, was a legend). But being able to hear some Phillies games on the radio, though living 500 miles from Philly, he was great at that also. His presence will greatly be missed.

  • Harry Kalas was a GREAT MAN, somehow incredibly, even greater than he was an announcer, and that is saying A WHOLE LOT. What an incredibly sad week this has been. I was at the Memorial Service today, it was very emotional. It was done with class by the Phillies, in this very difficult circumstance. You could just feel the overwhelming love for this wonderful kind-hearted man, from those who were in attendance, to honor him. RIP Harry. Phils will NEVER be the same. We miss you so much already.

  • What an amazing man.

  • Hey 'jackmeoffer' (the name says it all)

This is not the place to vent your (erronious) opinion of Joe Buck.

Very disrespectful. I would say "Shame on you" but I don't want to make you dig for and dust off your dictionary.

  • Damn. I'm not a baseball fan, but I remember his voice from all the NFL highlight films and Chunky Soup commercials from when I was a kid. Dude's a legend.

    R.I.P

  • t'is never going to be the same now...

  • I am a Mets fan and loved to hear his voice. I lived in Binghamton, NY and could pick up Phillie games on the radio. I distinctly remember him saying, "Let's take a Tastycake Break.". We didn't have "Tastycakes" where I lived. It was cool to hear another team's broadcast. He was so nice to listen to. I feel for you fans in Philly.

  • i kinda think that harry was an inspiration and even tho the phillies are world series champs id trade it away for harry kalas to be here to announce games even though they are world champs it doesnt matter they arent the same without harry r.i.p harry the k

  • he was the best

  • Harry Kalas was all I knew.. I live in Philly and have grown up with the Phillies. Watching a Phillies game will never be the same. He was the voice, our voice. He will be missed..

  • At least Harry got to see 'em go all the way again before he passed.

Out of towners simply won't understand, Harry was a local hero, a stand-up guy...not just some announcer.

  • harry kalas will always be rembered as the greastest phillies anouncer ever and the greatest MLB anouncer ever

  • u r a fucking moron-kalas was the king.end of story!

  • every announcer is a homer, did u just start watching sports yesterday?

  • Did you just start watching sports or something? EVERY announcer roots for their team.

  • Shut up punk. Harry Kalas was the greatest, most recognizable voice in sports. I wish a pox upon you.

  • no he dosen`t, he was the voice of the phillies

  • Joe Buck is a fag. He hates philly. And you do realize Kalas is a local announcer right? He's not national. If he was national I'm sure he'd call the game differently. You really have no clue at what kind of person he was. His popularity in our area is crazy yet if you saw him somewhere he'd record a message on you phone for you or talk about anything even if he was in a hurry. He was a stand out citizen in general. Phillies world series champs not the cards.

  • Joe Buck sucks and if he lived a thousand yrs. could not come close to the feeling that Kalas put into his art.

  • Joe Buck is the worst and a disgrace to his father.

  • Not many people know this but Mickey Vernon is also a Philly Guy to and I to me Harry Kalas Lives For Ever Cause we got TV so every time they look at pass you will Hear Harry Kalas Voice every time Richie Ashburn and Harry Kalas were great together fan very funny together.

  • just a small thing, at the gym walking by the TV they had the first phills game on sence, i stopped took out my head phones to watch for a second. and even with all that we've have heard over the past week, i still listened for harrys voice over the TV...and felt a deep sadness when i remembered that we wouldnt anymore. but from now on that familar "0-2 pitch swing and a miss!" call will always be a little sweeter anytime i hear it for the rest of my life, Hard to believe, Harry.

  • listening to or watching a phils game won't be the same without hearing Harry K....his call of the last pitch when the Phils won the world series is my ringtone....he'll truly be missed....

  • In my mind I can hear Harry calling his last home run "outta here" and then close his eyes and pass on through the gates of heaven where he is now reunited with other radio greats Joe Nuxhall - Reds, Harry Carey - Cubs, and Myron Cope - Steelers. Harry along with the other voices were truly the voices of their respective cities. R.I.P. to each one and they are truly missed and will never be forgotten.

  • I never met Harry in my life, yet I feel like I lost a close family member. Its been a few days now and I'm still looking up as many reports and tributes as possible.

You were truly a legend Harry. Much more than a broadcaster, you were our friend!

  • just listen to the radio and hear all the praise and love this man has received. he will be missed but he has obviously left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten or outdone. truly amazing that one man, an announcer, could touch so many lives. if we could all aspire to be half the man harry was the world would be a better place...

Glad he got to see and call his championship, very fitting!

    RIP HARRY

  • its going to be so weird to watch a phillies game now

  • "thank god he didnt pass out on the air" thats all you have to say.... get the fuck outta here!!! he is a friend and like a family member to all philly fans and you thats all you can say about him. you ain't nothing but a frontrunning fag who hopped on our bandwagon when we won last year!!! now i'm kicking your ass off... go die in fire cum breath.

  • lol, couldnt of said it better myself. Nice screenname too.

  • dear laptop gangster, In spite of your extreme toughness, you fail to realize that my comment was posted in respect of the man I listened to my entire life. I don't deem it necessary to share my thoughts of his departure on a public web address. It is unfortunate you and I are fans of the same team b/c your lack of intelligence, disturbing online persona, and unnecessary wrath are all a disgrace to Harry the K.

  • listen up chud! when you come on here and say "thank god he didnt pass out on the air" YOU ARE sharing your thoughts on a public web address. if you don't want to share your thoughts...that's fine, no one said you had to share them. if you can't reflect on the passing of him. then say nothing at all!!!

  • You're not even worth more than eight words.

  • cry***

    cry***

i cant belive it his life might be ended but his voice will life on (legacy)sniff**

  • Love you harry... U will be forever missed.

  • He is irreplaceable...truly the heart, soul, and voice of the Phillies organization. R.I.P

  • shut the fuck up dude...joe buck sucks my left testicle at every announcing job he's ever had...dude knows shit about baseball, did you watch the world series last year?, get the fuck outta here trying to act like you know shit

  • May he RIP.......

    We are all saddened.......

  • R.I.P Harry

    You'll never be outta here.

  • omg that comment just made me so sad :[

    r.i.p <3

  • Harry Kalas life might of ended but his voice and legacy will never die

  • Just watched the "Puppy Bowl" on youtube, is there anything Harry cant do? What a great man. Love you. RIP my good friend.

  • "The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be." -- Brett Hart

  • I know hindsight is 20/20, but I heard Harry was supposed to have heart surgery in a few weeks. Plus he had a procedure before or during Spring Training. I just don't know if he was ready to go back to work. You have to wonder if he'd be OK now if he had gotten all that done and was fully recovered and then went back to work later in the year.

    R.I.P. Mr. Kalas.

  • Harry's public memorial, this Saturday (April 18th), Lets all turn out like we did for the parade in honor of Harry. Lets also make sure we sing "HIGH HOPES" every 7th inning stretch for now on. Ill be there Friday night and Ill be singing the loudest in my section. Let the tradition start friday night!

  • Saturday morning...8 to 12

  • Harry was a bright spot for a team that lost 10,000 games...

Phillies as a franchise may not have a whole lot of success on the Baseball diamond, but no other team could match us in the Broadcast booth

  • WOW...I am still in shock over this. Harry and Richie Ashburn were the best ...soooo smooth, and masters of a relaxed yet informed and entertaining broadcast of the Phils....For me Harry was Phillie Baseball....forever

  • I grew up on that personality and voice. Always remain a Philly fan, but it will never be the same. RIP HK.

  • Harry we will all miss you. You were the best broadcaster i have ever known R.I.P Harry

  • as a met fan i am sad. i listened to harry at times and he had that distinctive drawl and you always knew who he was rooting for and that i found refreshing. I know many phillie fans grew up on harry just as we did here with bob murphy. its a part of your life story. sad.

  • Its Outta Hereeee!!!

Philadelphia Phillies are world champions of baseball!

(The last call that he ever made was a game winning homerun by matt stairs)

    R.I.P Harry Kalas 1936-2009

  • Its Ironic.......Jamie Moyer pitched the last game, Matt Stairs hit the last homerun. The only two guys alive on the team when Harry was hired by the Phils in 1971.

  • There is already more then 10 videos about Harry K people talk smack on us philly fans but the truth is we have more love for our teams then canada does hockey

R.I.P Harry K. Looks like god needed an a great announcer up there in heaven

  • ERHHHHHHHH

  • Harry Kalas was to the Phillies as Chick Hearn was to the Lakers to Johny Most was to the Celtics and Johnny Red Kerr was to the Chicago Bulls. RIP Harry.

  • you never relize what youve had until you loose it harry kalas R.I.P. The phillies games will now never be the same

  • his voice made nfl flims without him it would not be the same

  • thank you harry....you'll never be "outta here"....we love ya...

  • Living in Michigan, I didn't get to hear much of Mr. Kalas' Phillies broadcasts (at least until I got XM Radio a few years back). But I certainly remember his stellar voiceover work for NFL Films, the old Alcoa Fantastic Finishes spots, the Campbell's Chunky Soup spots, and the occasional NFL game on Westwood One.

    An inimitable voice and style.

  • "Headline Reads: Baseball Announcer Finally Bored To Death By Boring Sport " not cool to talk bad about the dead mate. Not cool.

    Rest in Peace Mr. Kalas

  • Rest in Peace.

  • i cant believe it all these years gone...

  • fuck off cockshiner

  • shut the fuck up buffdeath you disrespectful prick.

  • Baseball will never be the same...

  • he is the voice of the philadelphia phillies

    RIP =[

  • Im gonna miss u harry i cant beleive this its horrible .....his last world series is wen the phillies win they won just for him so he could see them win one last time....i crying wen i found this out and almost passed out ....r.i.p. Harry Kalas 1936-2009 you will never be forgotton...we'll miss you!

  • our city lost a legend yesterday. rest in peace harry the k.

  • Harry Kalas, was a great person. RIP Harry. We'll miss you. Screw the mets.

  • Harry, we're truly gonna miss you. I know you'll be watchin down on our Phils. We love you Harry and Phillies baseball will never be the same. Say hi to Whitey for me. Rest in peace<3
