I always felt like this anime/manga had a lot of potential to be good... but then I watched it... I hated the awful sense of humor and all the over-dramatized... well, everything was over-dramatic in the entire series! I have been pleasantly surprised with Genbu Kaiden though!

As a guy, I find this anime extremely frustrating. The girls are way too over emotional, the guys will do just about anything for the girl and there are so many more logical paths to take that would not have left someone dead.......

I started to watch the story since I was 5, but of course I didn't know what was going on. I was just taken away by the love between all the warriors and Miaka. When I got older, I started investing more time in the franchise and bought the DVD and the manga series. And let me tell you, I NEVER get bored of it!!! Thank you Yuu Watase! Your work is to me like what Harry Potter is for most people. Fushigi Yuugi will always be my home and world. Thank you very very much!

This is why I feel bad for manga-kas such as Yuu Watase, Kaori Yuki, and Arina Tanemura. Not enough of their works almost never get an anime, and Angel Sanctuary is only in three OVA'S. Animation doesn't suck, and I don't know why Japan doesn't put more of their works into an anime, even though their mangas r as popular as hell

Im only starting to fully understanding the story and i can say that fushigi yuugi wasnt ready for the side of the seiryuu sinseishi.

Over all I will alwayd cherise this series and will always love the suzaku senshiis -3

Ahh, I remember as a child begging my mother for all the tapes when they first came out in the states. Then had my wallet cry when I had to have all the DVD box sets, years later. This series is one of the classics. To this day, I still tear up on many of the emotional moments of the series. Thanks for posting the opening animation, I think I'll go re watch the series now xD

MAN! I LOVE NURIKO! I prefer him as a man rather than a woman. I thought it was the sickest, most awesome twist for a character when I was a kid (yep, I watched this show when I was still a child. Imagine what this had done to me, with all the slightly steamy scenes and -- you get it right?) xD I was all for Nuriko until now. And when he started to fall for MIakaI was like "HELL YEAH! I remember as kids, my twin bro and i would sit down with her and watch this on cassete tape! anxiously waiting for the next tape to come out! Ah...the good ole days. This anime is my top favorites.
