It is totally revolting. There was a case in canada involving a woman who came here on a visitors visa with no intention of returning to her country because her daughter was going to be circumcised. If I remember correctly she won her case and was allowed to stay in canada. canada finally passed a law making the practise here a criminal act. I was shocked to learn that before this law was passed people were actually getting it done here.

Female circumcision is, plain and simple, a way to control women. That is what it's used for and has been used for for a looong time. I feel so bad for her and I hope her daughter has a brighter future.

Circumcision is completely unnecessary. There is no provable benefit. There are no medical reasons for it, only theological. For whatever reason Jews and Muslims do it, and in America it was popularized by Christian nutjobs in order to discourage masturbation. The only medical reason would be; if you intend on not showering for long periods of time? I feel sorry for those who had it done, you can't even get a hj without lubricant of some sort, plus it's more pleasurable for the girl supposedly

@welcomegohome in fact it is necessary for men because - this is without criticism but as a female i know - without circumcision a penis can start smelling really bad. also men with foreskin are generally less proactive when it comes to seeking sex.

I was circumcised when i was a child for medical reasons. I think that's the only reason to circumcise a child, any other way is just wrong and unnecessary.

Circumcision is such a miserable practice; to inflict such a horror on a child is quite amoral. If an ADULT wishes to undergo circumcision, fine by me, but leave children alone.
