Soo True,! I have always sayed i never Drink Again,!/"THE DAY AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE",!/ But i always do,!!!, Whisky,! lol, cause love playing Great old coutry soungs like this,!& haven a Drink,!!
I agree all the crap today they call country music ....they don't have a clue. We use to always rate songs by the # of beers it called for and this one was a 4
this is typical of what country...real country offered all the time at one time but it's changed significantly...afterall the girls they promote nowadays aren't even old enough to go into a bar and get served....
One of my favorite beer drinkin' songs to get drunk on! Hell yeah' party on! Get drunk! Enjoy a good bar fight, shake hands and buy each other a beer!
LMFAO, I used to listen to this song and all the other country songs on the jukebox drunk out of my mind as a young man. Seems funny now hearing the same old songs on youtube after celebrating 19 years sobriety in AA this year.
Been many years since hearing this tune, which I used to play a lot on my radio show in KY. Loved Moe Bandy and wouldn't work for any station that refused to play his records. And many would not because he was thought to be too country. Imagine that. Too country for a country music station. Jerks who thought that way still in the business. Well, they couldn't keep Moe Bandy down by gosh. Talent will out. Thanks for posting this video. much appreciated.
Great traditional honky tonk country music that you no longer hear on today's country radio. This is really is not about gettin' drunk, but having a good time as you do not have to get drunk to enjoy this song. It is more of a partying song! I say have some beers to enjoy this song. But if you want to get drunk with this song, enjoy as I have gotten drunk on it!
Easy boys and girls, it's just a song. No one pushes a bottle to anyone's lips but the one that wants the drink!! Great country drinking song!! Moe doe's it really good!
Moe Bandy classic. I sure do miss this music, today's "country" music is crap. Hard to believe we had it so good back then...you could turn on the radio and hear Moe Bandy (don't forget Joe!), Conway, Johnnny, George, Waylon, Marty, Crystal, Tom T., ETC, Eddie Rabbitt, Paycheck, The Silver Fox, Don Williams and some many more--and they were all making music at the same time! It was truly country paradise.
YEEHAAW!! I may NOT like drinking but one thing I do like is REAL Country Music and this my friends and strangers is REAL Country Music, I LOVE it!! YEEHAAW!!
Thanks to allmusic . c o m or I might NEVER have heard of this AUTHENTIC Country Music Singer. :)
There is nothing like a good beer drinkin' country song! I love gettin' drunk to this song! Hell yeah! Let's get drunk! Maybe enjoy a good bar fight too!
My most favorite Moe Bandy beer drinkin' song! Hell yeah', lets all get drunk together! Maybe enjoy ah' good bar fight or ah' good ol' fashion fist fight!
great song ....... but half to admitt it most men find some reason to get drunk . i dont drink and ive been throu alot and no matter how bad things got i never find a reason too......... and proud of it ..........:)
I'm recovering, too. Sobriety date December 19, 1981. I love this song. It makes me remember where I came from - and that's a good thing! I also like Swinging Doors, I Kept the Wine and Threw Away the Rose, and One Six Pack to Go! I wish I could just play them all at Speaker Meetings. Then I wouldn't have anything else to share! Well, maybe I could share about the recovery part, including my having the willingness to make amends to everyone I hurt when I was "out there".
I'm a recovering alcoholic [27 years] & a long time country music player. I see no way that songs like this could be considered destructive if your program of recovery is active & strong enough. Personally I get a lift from good solid traditional country music regardless of the story line.
im a straight up alcoholic and i love up so my reply is prolly worthless, lol but anyways i dont find this song or songs like this destructive... i feel that for even those who dont drink this song helps us cope with life
@unauthorizedstyle people today would probly say im alcoholic ,we just used to call it a "heavy drinker" ,work hard drink hard just like merls says on "working mans blues"
@unauthorizedstyle Yeah, me too but don't tell anybody. I wish I could switch from destroying my liver to destroying my lungs but I've been doing both since I was 16. Too late now.
@clydebk The mind is the most destuctive tool to an alcoholic. Songs,Women, and anything we THINK too much about is our trigger. Or being as clever as us drunks are..Anything we DONT THINK about is our trigger. Sober since 2004 without AA.
