if someone who doesn't even know you personally, would take the time to get on the internet to criticize someone, why bother to try to convince them they are wrong? A person of that character has issues that are beyond you, and can't be fixed by having an online argument. You can't take it personally. That was a powerful statement. We can tell ourselves that we are okay and can be truly happy with ourselves, becoming so much more powerful by NOT listening to the negativity of others, by letting them drag us down.

You are so right.. Ignoring is the only thing you can do with bullies and gossip.. I've learned that years ago. But I think here on youtube it's even worse than it was during my school days. For exampe these guru gossip site, where people really invest time to find out details about the life of youtuber.. That's bordering on sick...
On the other hand I do think that there are youtube gurus, who seem so dishonest and only do sponsored videos, that they can't be surprised that a bunch of haters will pop up eventually... And then I can understand that a person will post a negative comment if they just feel betrayed. But there is always a difference between polite criticism and hate.. I ignore hate (you have to, if you don't want to end up sick), but I do take constructive criticism into account..

I was just wondering why people make videos, not like there getting paid to do it? Sounds like your giving of your self and the haters are making you feel bad. I love watching makeup videos but I'm not sure if I would put my self out there. Can you disable the comments?

I know this happens and I think it's because it is anonymous way to comment on what ever pops into your head kind of like when people are driving they are rude in there car because they are hidden in there car. I don't know just guessing but I only watch the videos I like maybe others should do the same.

I've noticed that people like that do not change from their real lives vs. what they write on the internet. They are also negative and jealous in person. Generally really unhappy and selfish. They have to be selfish and self centered in order to try to ruin someone's day or lash out like that. For some reason they think their opinion should be validated and read by everyone, or they repeat themselves constantly. I know there are average trolls on here, but these women are something else.

That's ridiculous! She left youtube because she was "bullied". This may come across as being a bit insensitive, but does she know these people in real life?!?!? Why does she care what they think?!?! She sounds a bit immature to me. Youtube is not the place for someone who has "thin-skin" Good for you for being strong and ignoring the haters. Honestly, I think there's more to them leaving but that's neither here nor there. But I still respect your views on the bullying issue.

Trolls are insecure. Everybody is insecure and a lot of people lack empathy, which is inhuman to me. There is a certain vulnerability that comes with being on the internet and I respect that. I've had several people on YT ask me what to do about this and the thing I always say is "ignore them". The feed off the fight. If you starve something it dies! So starve the bullies and they will die. If you don't give them what they want, they will move on. The worst thing you can do is try to talk back to them. Very good video! Well said! I like you as I liked Sam's beauty videos and I have never ever said one negative comment about any of the gurus. And I will carry on like this, because I think bullying is shameful! But I really think in this case, when we are watching bigger picture, we are dealing with scamming not bullying. Sam and Jay should rethink their reasons why they are making YT videos. When they are doing it just for money and loosing their ad-sense was so big deal for them people will notice and don't forgive.
The adsense is gone. got into trouble for accepting so many gifts and clicking the ads. I'm not saying the comments weren't all nice but most of the really mean ones came from the subs. Saying go kill yourself for stating a very legit question or suggesion. But if it was something constructive it got deleted. Its a shame people fell for the bate and switch. They won't address the questions by even their loyalest fans bc it exposes them. If it puts them under the microscope they can't handle it.
Good message. Too bad that's not why they left YT. Just step back and look at the big pic here. The delete ALL channels according to them on the 19th. Come back on the 20th..but new channel says 19th. But her makeup channel has the org date 2009. They lost their partnership on Jays and their channel but not Sams makeup channel. If someones kids life is threatened wld they really have came back less than 24hrs? I wldnt. Bullying plot was a smoke in the mirrors

I've had a Chanel since 2006, the one I have now is my second one. I've only posted two videos in all that time because I got some hate, privet message and very aggressive, I was mortified. All because I won a set of sigma brushes, I won them two almost 3 years ago and I have never used them, I intend to make a contest video giving the brushes away but I don't have enough courage yet. Your video was a very positive one and I only hope that it finds its way to the people who are being bullied right now or in the future! I have said this for a very long time and maintain that Youtube need to get rid of the 'dislike' button! It does nothing but fuel the flames for haters! If someone doesn't like what they see, then move on to something else! This is right on. What Michael said is definitely true. The problem with people who often watch these videos forget that there are other people- actual people on the other end of the camera. People have feelings and don't need to read something so negative on the internet from a stranger who would never say the same thing in person.
I agree with you 100%! I think we need to stop this hate on youtube, fb, twitter etc. It has gotten to the point that people feel attacked and not safe. It's all dumb and it shouldn't get to you. I have always believed there is a BIG difference between 'constructive opinion,' which everyone is allowed, and 'hateful & nasty criticism' which is NOT right & should NOT be allowed! GREAT VIDEO! it is ok to make a comment in my opinion to state how you feel about something but it is not ok to attack someone. I made one video and took it off youtube because some crazy person commented in a personal message that they wanted to butcher and eat my dog !!!!! it really made me think that I don't want to put myself out there so I blocked and reported him. I appreciate that you and others share their lives with us and respect any action you take on negative comments.

I feel bad for the people who are being duped by the Schuermans. They are not good people. I feel they deleted their channels to get even MORE popular on YT and gain more subbies on their new channel. From what I witnessed, they are true scammers!
Christine, I think the more we pay attention to negativity the more negativity we will attract. I personally stay away from all the negativity all together, and I wouldn't ever reply to anyone who's intention is nothing but to hurt my feelings. It's best to just ignore, delete and block. Those people are not worth our time and especially not worth for you to make a whole video about it. In Russia we have a saying " A dog will bark but the caravan keeps moving " that's how I feel about haters.
Cyber bullying can get very painfull , I know it from my own experience. But I agree that one shouldn't take it personally... it is better to ingore all the negativity. However, the websites like gurugossip should be banned, because they have caused tears and breakdowns of many gurus I know. Besides, the haters like to spread false information and this influences others' people oppinions about you too, which is really sad. Totally support you on this video!

People need to not let what is said on the internet SO seriously, you do not personally know the person who are making comments, some people are just trolls while others perhaps make constructive criticism and it's taken out of context. I'm always so glad when people speak out against bullying [and yes, there are all types of bullying]. My sisters and I were bullied terribly as kids, and no kid should have to live with that kind of misery, and no adult either. That sort of thing hurts deeply whether you know the person generating the hate or not. Thanks for this, and I hope you're holiday is peaceful and relaxing. Hugs!

That's ridiculous! She left youtube because she was "bullied". This may come across as being a bit insensitive, but does she know these people in real life?!?!? Why does she care what they think?!?! She sounds a bit immature to me. Youtube is not the place for someone who has "thin-skin" Good for you for being strong and ignoring the haters. Honestly, I think there's more to them leaving but that's neither here nor there. But I still respect your views on the bullying issue.

Skin like a Jellyfish just won't do, lol. ;) I don't follow any drama, so I don't know what went down regarding the Schuermans, all I know is I've been happily watching them since the beginning and then they stopped. This video stems from my own experience, so I really hope anyone, young people or adults, who needed uplifting reassurance that they are not alone, found this helpful.

Trolls are insecure. Everybody is insecure and a lot of people lack empathy, which is inhuman to me. There is a certain vulnerability that comes with being on the internet and I respect that. I like your videos, screw the trolls! It's like when you were a ikid and stick your fingers in your ears and go, " lal la la la la I'm not listening to you!" I've had several people on YT ask me what to do about this and the thing I always say is "ignore them". The feed off the fight. If you starve something it dies! So starve the bullies and they will die. If you don't give them what they want, they will move on. The worst thing you can do is try to talk back to them. Very good video! Well said! I like you as I liked Sam's beauty videos and I have never ever said one negative comment about any of the gurus. And I will carry on like this, because I think bullying is shameful! But I really think in this case, when we are watching bigger picture, we are dealing with scamming not bullying. Sam and Jay should rethink their reasons why they are making YT videos. When they are doing it just for money and loosing their ad-sense was so big deal for them people will notice and don't forgive.

The adsense is gone. got into trouble for accepting so many gifts and clicking the ads. I'm not saying the comments weren't all nice but most of the really mean ones came from the subs. Saying go kill yourself for stating a very legit question or suggesion. But if it was something constructive it got deleted. Its a shame people fell for the bate and switch. They won't address the questions by even their loyalest fans bc it exposes them. If it puts them under the microscope they can't handle it.

Good message. Too bad that's not why they left YT. Just step back and look at the big pic here. The delete ALL channels according to them on the 19th. Come back on the 20th..but new channel says 19th. But her makeup channel has the org date 2009. They lost their partnership on Jays and their channel but not Sams makeup channel. If someones kids life is threatened wld they really have came back less than 24hrs? I wldnt. Bullying plot was a smoke in the mirrors

I should clarify again that this video is based on my own personal experiences, my goal in producing this video is to send an uplifting and positive message to all others, young people or adults, who may feel alone when dealing with some type of negativity, whether online or in the real world. I've had a Chanel since 2006, the one I have now is my second one. I've only posted two videos in all that time because I got some hate, privet message and very aggressive, I was mortified. All because I won a set of sigma brushes, I won them two almost 3 years ago and I have never used them, I intend to make a contest video giving the brushes away but I don't have enough courage yet. Your video was a very positive one and I only hope that it finds its way to the people who are being bullied right now or in the future! I have said this for a very long time and maintain that Youtube need to get rid of the 'dislike' button! It does nothing but fuel the flames for haters! If someone doesn't like what they see, then move on to something else! We all have the right to our own opinion, but being viscous and down right rude is not an opinion in my mind! that's abusing that right! x

I am glad that the Shuermans are back they are lovely people and I really don't think they deserved to be bullied it's not right and I think everyone has an opinion but I believe that if people dont have anything nice to say about people then don't say it and they are good people and they dont deserve to be treated like dirt they really dont I'm happy they are back and if the need time to take a break then they have that right as well happy holidays

This is right on. What Michael said is definitely true. The problem with people who often watch these videos forget that there are other people- actual people on the other end of the camera. People have feelings and don't need to read something so negative on the internet from a stranger who would never say the same thing in person.

I agree with you 100%! I think we need to stop this hate on youtube, fb, twitter etc. It has gotten to the point that people feel attacked and not safe. It's all dumb and it shouldn't get to you. These people are not ok and need help. We just need to stop giving them what they want Just report them, block them and move on with our lives.

I have always believed there is a BIG difference between 'constructive opinion,' which everyone is allowed, and 'hateful & nasty criticism' which is NOT right & should NOT be allowed! Know what your are writing, understand the ramifications and accept the consequences of the words you use! Michael, your comment on disinformation is really on the mark.

GREAT VIDEO! it is ok to make a comment in my opinion to state how you feel about something but it is not ok to attack someone. I made one video and took it off youtube because some crazy person commented in a personal message that they wanted to butcher and eat my dog !!!!! it really made me think that I don't want to put myself out there so I blocked and reported him. I appreciate that you and others share their lives with us and respect any action you take on negative comments.

It's all about attention not necessarily jealousy but attention even if it's negative attention that these haters want. Now they are all jumping o nthe band wagon saying it's not bullying, well that is just simantics, doesn't matter what it's called it's wrong, and mean. Christine, I think the more we pay attention to negativity the more negativity we will attract. I personally stay away from all the negativity all together, and I wouldn't ever reply to anyone who's intention is nothing but to hurt my feelings. It's best to just ignore, delete and block. Those people are not worth our time and especially not worth for you to make a whole video about it. In Russia we have a saying " A dog will bark but the caravan keeps moving " that's how I feel about haters.

Cyber bullying can get very painfull , I know it from my own experience. But I agree that one shouldn't take it personally... it is better to ingore all the negativity. However, the websites like gurugossip should be banned, because they have caused tears and breakdowns of many gurus I know. Besides, the haters like to spread false information and this influences others' people oppinions about you too, which is really sad. Totally support you on this video!

Christine, you don't know the entire true face of the Schuermans... don't stick for them, the whole "drama" called "bullying" is overrated... many, many people realised who they really are and they play victims here... the truth is on the internet. I finnaly "got my blinkers off " too and I completly changed my opinion about them from positive to negative. you'll change your opinion about them soon too.

What would you do though, if such a toxic person would be your close colleague from work who you couldn't avoid (unless you quit your job)? This has been bringing me down for a long long time. People need to not let what is said on the internet SO seriously, you do not personally know the person who are making comments, some people are just trolls while others perhaps make constructive criticism and it's taken out of context. I hope you don't block me for saying this, just speaking my mind. I have been a subscriber for a long time, and have never said anything horrible about you. But I think people need to get a thicker skin and be adult about it.

Great video Christine. I love the Schuerman's. Can't wait till they start making videos again. I usually don't read peoples comments. Once in awhile I do catch some & can't believe how rude they are. I'd never want to do videos. I can never understand people who want to tear you down. Your right that you always want to build a person up. There's enough hatred & problems in life. YouTube videos make me happy to watch. Why would I knock you down? Insane. Ignore them! They'll go away.
