Josh live is so cute! Saw him just the day before yesterday and he said he was nervous and screamed with us! OMG, I really like him und Glen. Come and find me now is really great!
October 26, 2005? This has to be one of the oldest videos in youtube history...and what a classic from the annals of this site. Such a spectacular, beautiful performance. "The Golden Age of Radio" might be the best album of the entire decade.
I discovered Josh Ritter only about a year and a half ago, I know, I'm ashamed of myself. And it was by pure chance, my Uncle handed down a laptop with all his music still on it, which I duely moved to my SonicStage, Snow Is Gone. Myy Goood, its my typical type of song and amazingly, it only gets better from there with Josh! As for Glenn Hansard, I'm Irish, I'd love him if he was terrible, but luckily he's a cracker and the two together are exactly what I love, if a bit romantic!!
Josh's guitar definately does NOT have a hole the size of a basketball on the top of any of his guitars. He now has a new pick-guard on his Guild so that doesn't happen. This guitar was Damien Rice's who in turn gave it to Glen Hansard. I agree that it's 100% Glen's.
actually, Glen's Uncle used to come stay with them and sometimes leave his guitar there and Glen as a youngan would sneak it and play and muck about with it, his Unlce returned one day and caught him with it, so his Uncle went and bought him a guitar, THIS GUITAR, the well known much loved guitar with worn holes in it from busking on Grafton St and the like
Thanks for the clarification! I'm not sure why I was so sure about the Damien Rice theory. I must have been drunk at the time of this posting, haha. But thanks again!
Oh gosh! Josh Ritter and The Frames together! That's flipping amazing. I love them both unhealthily much... I'm ashamed that I didn't know that they toured together at one point!
I downloaded this to edit and tried fitting the music to the video but the video keeps changing speeds in spots which makes it nigh impossible. Oh well.
LOVE this song. and these amazing people. <3

I'm quite positive that that is Glen's.
He lends it to most acoustic singer/songwriters who opens for The Frames.
