as someone said the harmonica player is Steve Hardin who was in Glen'sband in the early 80's' He features in a number of songs on Glen Campbell's Rhinestone Campbell live cd and in my opinion raises the energy level of the whole album. He is also briliant on Glen Campbell's rendition of Muleskinner Blues on youtube.
Harmonica player is AWESOME!!!! I've always said harmonicas and accordians get a raw deal, when you put someone on them that can really play one watch out! This guy was one of them players!!!!
i see some people saying they didnt play together...Glen played guitar on heaps of Elvis records....and the righteous brothers....EVRYONE =D Glen campbell rocks! saw him live last year!
carkenny2 great comment! Hank Williams is right up there with the greats of all time! Funny, the older I get the more I understand "only the good die young". Call it genius, call it a gift from heaven but it it's all the same thing...I wish I had a just a tiny bit of that kind of talent.
A singer is a singer, but the SONGWRITER, is the real genius. Hank williams, wrote over 700 songs, and died at the age of 28. Almost anyone can sing one of his songs get airplay, even to this day. As a dj, I would announce "who wants to hear some Hank Williams". No response, and then I would pack the dance floor with"Movin all over, sung by George Thourogood. Hank Williams songs. are as timeless and Genius as Lennon-Mcartney.
@carkenny2 Lets just reverse your comment here, A songwriter is a songwriter, unless they have an amazing singer like Elvis Presley to sing their songs and do their words and music justice and put the feeling into their words/music from paper to their soul
@carkenny2 Nope. My comment is not reverseable. Elvis was the messiah, the rock and roll messenger for the masses. He was crucial and needed to happen. He was not an amazing singer. According to the IRS there are over 75,000 people in the US alone, who list "Elvis impersonator" as their sole occupation. His voice is very easy to imitate. Any male who can sing at all can "sound like" Elvis. It all starts with a song. Nothing happens without a good song. This song is heartfelt genius!
Did he? I didn't see them together; are you sure it wasn't just a clever bit of film editing? There was a slight overlap of singing, but no way could you say that Glenn Campbell and Elvis sang together.
No he didn't. I just mixed them together to try out some new software. I actually didn't think it turned out that well. But I posted it anyway just for fun. I would love to hear Elvis' version with the harp player from Glen's version.
I assume you are talking about the harp player. Another user stated that "Harmonica player is Steve Hardin. Was in Glen's band for about 4 years in the early 80's." on the original version i posted to try and find out.
i just loved this, enjoyed seeing and hearing elvis sing the song, with such feeling and emotion, then hearing the harmonica being played, wow, such a haunting sound, just brilliant, thank you
Thanks for your comment. That's why I put these videos out there. I'm just having fun learning how to do this. Criticism dosen't worry me, and constructive criticism is welcomed. Thanks again for you comment.
I wish there was actual video of Glen and Elvis performing together.

Glen certainly did play with Elvis. Glen played guitar on some Elvis sessions in 1963 (Viva Las Vegas)
