Actually, a 402 wouldn't meet Pastor Chang's need. He flew a Navajo for a lot of years and then upgraded to the used King Air (less than $1 mill) when the Navajo proved to be too small, too slow, too low, and too underpowered. If Jesus were trying to evangelize, preach, teach and disciple in Arkansas, Texas, California, Colorado, Utah, Michigan, and new Jersey all in two weeks...sandals and a donkey wouldn't cut it.
I appreciate your concerns over using appropriate technology.
Spreading the word of Jesus using a multi million dollar business turboprop... because everyone knows that is what Jesus would have done. "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God". I guess they just missed that part. I realize the need for transport, but couldn't they have bought something like a 402 and used the money saved on fuel and maintenance to donate it to poor people or something? Am I just crazy?
